Beaver County Historical Research and Landmarks Foundation

Beaver County Historical Research and Landmarks Foundation BCHR&LF was incorporated as a nonprofit organization on December 14, 1971. It was later named the official Historical Society of Beaver County.

It was later named the official Historical Society of Beaver County, Beaver County Historical Research and Landmarks Foundation, located in the Vicary Mansion at Freedom, PA. The Beaver County Historical Research and Landmarks Foundation was incorporated as a nonprofit organization on December 14, 1971. The purpose of the Foundation is the collection, preservation, and interpretation of Beaver County's historical sites, records and artifacts for the educational benefit of the public. The Foundation, which is supervised by a board of trustees is involved in a number of ongoing activities:

Operation of the Beaver County History Center at the Vicary Mansion
Publication of Milestones - a quarterly magazine about Beaver County history
Publication and reprinting of historical literature including: The 1976 Bicentennial Atlas, The 20th Century History of Beaver County, Rivers of Destiny - The Beaver County Bicentennial Book and A Guide to Historical Landmarks in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Selection of up to four historic sites each year and dedication of these locations with historical markers. Distribution of Heritage markers for residences which meet historic criteria

Here is the 1880 Fetterman Bridge, connecting Beaver Falls to Eastvale, formerly named Fetterman. It was built by the Penn Bridge Company. Later the span was replaced by the John F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge (Eastvale Bridge), opened in 1963. This photo is hanging at the Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls.

So today, I attended the Chippewa Township Library paranormal event from 11 am until 2 pm, featuring Brian and Terri Seech, paranormal investigators, from Weirton, WV... They operate The Center for Cryptozoological Studies and Unexplained Events...

There were displays, eyewitness drawings, and vintage articles... Subjects were Big foot, Dogman, Mothman, UFOs, Gargoles, and other Aliens... We were able to tell our stories and share them with these long-time researchers... Brian Seech told us he has been involved with these studies and research for over 40 years...

So, on September 11, 2001, 19 terrorists from the Islamic extremist group al Qaeda—founded by Osama bin Laden—hijacked four commercial passenger airplanes and carried out coordinated su***de attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. Within two hours, both towers had collapsed into rubble, demolishing a large section of lower Manhattan. A third plane hit the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C. The passengers and crew of the fourth plane fought back, and the hijackers crashed the plane in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Almost 3,000 people were killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, including the 19 al Qaeda terrorists. The shocking events of September 11 were televised globally and left much of the world reeling in horror. The administration of President George W. Bush responded by declaring a “war on terror” and launching the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan. The attacks also led to a sweeping reorganization of the federal government, including the creation of the Department of Homeland Security.
September 11, 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of these terrorists attacks... May we never forget... history.com
