Freeburg Rotary Club News / 15 September 2026

Our meeting opened with a Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Steve Jackson.
Judy Berowski and Mary Jackson gave a very interesting program on their recent travels to New Zealand and Australia.
Ron Stellhorn delivered a Rotary Foundation moment. On Polio Plus - Over 3 Billion Children immunized by Rotarians.
Youth - D6510 RYLA October 9-11 , Camp Hope, Benton, IL - Looking for Students to sponsor.
There will be a Mini-RYLA in Swansea on September 25th. Steve Jackson will attend to see how it’s run.
Student of the Month - waiting to get approval of FCHS Administration. We will turn the nomination form into a Google document to be distributed to the FCHS Faculty to nominate Student of the Month candidates.
September 26 will be a busy day for Freeburg Rotarians:
The Alzheimer’s Walk/Run will take place in the morning.
Steve Jackson will represent the club at the District 6510 Vibrant Club Workshop where he will receive the Distri Grant Check which proceeds havedesigned to go to the Belize Children’s Project.
Tayler Jordan has signed up volunteers for the Freeburg Fall Festival in the Freeburg Square Park. If you haven’t signed up but can still volunteer please let her know at [email protected].
29 September 2026 - Fifth Tuesday Social Meeting at 5:30 pm at the Bullpen in New Athens, Illinois. (Dutch Treat).
06 October 2026 - Freeburg Rotary Club 1st Tuesday meeting at Freeburg Township Center at 6:30 pm.
13 October 2026 - Annual White Elephant Auction and Dinner - 6:00 pm - Freeburg Sportsman’s Club. Please check out the email that was sent earlier from Ron Stellhorn. Members are required to donate to the auction.
20 October 2026 - 6:30 pm - BINGO AT LABELLA OF FREEBURG. This is a regular meeting night. We are looking for someone who might want to chair this quarterly event. So in place of our regular meeting we encourage everyone to participate in this service project.
03 November 2026 - 1st Tuesday Regular meeting program to be determined.
The District 6510 Annual Conference will take place on November 13-14th Please refer to an earlier email sent today (From Catherine Taylor Yank)
17 November 2026 - Regular FRC Meeting Program TBD
20 November 2026 - Friday - Tentative Local Freeburg Mini- RYLA information to come.
04 December 2026 - Freeburg Rotary Club Annual Christmas Party at Sarah & Dave Favre’s home.
