Congratulations to Alyse Bugaj on her record-breaking triple jump of 35 feet 7 1/2 inches at the state qualifier meet in Alden, NY, and best of luck as she heads out to represent Fredonia High School and Section VI at the NYS Track & Field Championships on Sunday in Webster, NY!

Cassadaga Valley junior Jocelyn Wintersteen returned for her fourth state championship and had her second-best finish at 32nd.

Alumni Alert:
Ella Koopman (Class of '24) and Natalia DiPalma (Class of '25) had great seasons at SUNY Geneseo in flag football. Ella was named the Offensive Player of the Year, and Natalia picked up Rookie of the Year.

Koopman, a sophomore quarterback, threw for 2,631 yards and 32 touchdowns, while rushing for 922 yards on 189 carries and 10 more scores. She was tremendous in seven league games, throwing for 1,542 yards and 17 passing touchdowns, while rushing for 474 yards and five scores.

DiPalma ran the ball 103 times for 495 yards, while catching 39 passes for 579 yards and 14 total touchdowns for the Knights. She had 757 total yards and 10 touchdowns in eight Empire 8 regular-season contests.
