Earn big prizes by reading! Two critical times for reading are before kindergarten and teens prepping for higher education. To support that, our library is offering high value prizes to those in these categories that work on these large goals.

All children currently in kindergarten and younger (as well as their adult helper) will get a prize for reading 1000 books before kindergarten (or by the end of the school year for those already that age). Teens in 6th grade and higher are eligible for the contest to ready 100 books before graduation. All books will be logged in our app "ReaderZone" and librarians will deem if the books used are appropriate for the reading level (especially for the teens).

**The adult helping the child for the kindergarten challenge must have a Fredonia library card and the teen participating must have a Fredonia library card. Cards are free for residents of Fredonia, Moccasin, and the tribe. Cards are a $20 per family one time fee for those outside our limits.

Back to School and Back to the Library celebration with Lego MiniFigs!!
Bricks & Minifigs in St. George, UT has given us pencils and coupons for a free Lego Minifig for each 3-18 year old that comes into the library this week.
We've had a rough summer with renovations from our fire in April and we are so excited to be back to full swing!! Come in and see the improvements, check out a book, or join us for a program this week. Showing up is all that is required to get your free pencil and minifig coupon.

Wednesday is Sit & Knit at 1pm AZ
Thursday is FUNdamentals preschool hour at 10am AZ
Friday is Make & Take craft day from 10:30-1:30 AZ

We're recruiting for a part-time Nutrition Education Specialist for the WIC Program in Page, AZ!

This position supports the WIC program by assessing client eligibility, providing nutrition and breastfeeding education, and evaluating dietary intake. They help identify families’ health, economic, and social needs and offer appropriate referrals and follow-up care. The role includes delivering individual nutrition education, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring all records meet federal, state, and local regulations.

FUNdamentals coming September 3rd!
Early literacy preschool time at the Fredonia library. All children ages 0-5 with their adult are welcome to come play and learn with us. Every Thursday from September to end of April at 10am AZ time.

Ms. Sheena is teaching music this school year! Both homeschooled and public school students are welcome.
It is a library activity in conjunction with Fredonia School. Class will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays (starting August 13th) at the specified time below for the students' age group in a classroom at the school. They can enroll just for that class or they can come as a visitor and sign in as a guest at the office each time they come. Students in public school will be auto-enrolled but other community members need to call the library so we know to expect you.
