🚨 TRAFFIC ADVISORY – SUNDAY, APRIL 26 🚨

The 9th Annual 1891 Run for the Fredonia Opera House will take place tomorrow morning.

🏃‍♂️ Race Start: 9:00 AM
🕗 Event Time: Approximately 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM
📍 Location: Village of Fredonia & SUNY Fredonia campus

🚧 ROAD CLOSURES:
• Church Street
• Day Street
(Closed approximately 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM)

⚠️ USE EXTREME CAUTION IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
• Temple Street
• Central Avenue
• Ring Road
• Brigham Road

Please be alert for a high volume of runners and walkers throughout the area. Expect delays, follow posted detours, and use caution when traveling near the route.

👮‍♂️ Emergency services will be in the area to assist with traffic control and public safety.

🚨 Boil Water Advisory Update #2 – Fredonia Water Customers 🚨
RELEASE: March 30, 2026__2:00PM EST

The Department of Health has collected both required water samples from our distribution system. These samples are currently undergoing a 24-hour incubation period at the lab for further analysis.

We expect to provide Update #3 tomorrow (March 31st) in the late morning hours, at which time we will share whether the boil water advisory will need to remain in effect or if it can be lifted.

We appreciate your continued patience and cooperation. Please continue to follow the current boil water advisory until further notice.

Boil Water Advisory Update – Fredonia Water Customers

At this time, there is no new update regarding the current boil water advisory.

Water samples must complete two full rounds of testing. Once collected, results will be reviewed by the Department of Health, who will then make a determination on lifting the advisory.

🚨 BOIL WATER ORDER – VILLAGE OF FREDONIA 🚨

RELEASE: March 27, 2026__9:00AM EST

The Village of Fredonia Office of Emergency Management, in coordination with the Village Water Treatment Plant and the County Department of Health, has issued a Boil Water Order effective Friday, March 27, 2026.

This applies to:
• All Village of Fredonia water customers
• Properties outside Village limits supplied by the Village water system

🔹 Reason: High turbidity levels leaving the water treatment plant
🔹 What to do: Boil water for at least 1 minute before using for:

Drinking
Cooking
Brushing teeth
Food preparation

💧 Next Steps: Water sampling may begin as early as Sunday, March 29, 2026. The order will remain in place until testing confirms the water is safe.

Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
