Please join us in congratulating FCFD Firefighter Jaxon Swank on his recent hiring and swearing in as a full time Firefighter/EMT at Washington Township Fire Department - Dublin.

If the name and face are familiar, it is for good reason. Jaxon joins the ranks at Washington working beside his brother Kasey and follows in the footsteps of his father, the late Lt. Charles Swank who served both FCFD and Washington Township for many years before his passing in the line of duty.

We are incredibly proud of Jaxon and his commitment to service and fireground excellence. Since day one he has been an incredible asset, always willing to lend a hand and share his knowledge. We look forward to seeing continued growth in his craft and career.

This afternoon FCFD and our partners at Fredericktown EMS were dispatched to a mutual aid incident with Jefferson Township Fire. Upon arrival one occupant was found to be entrapped inside an unstable vehicle.

Crews worked to quickly stabilize the vehicle to prevent shifting or rollover. After successful stabilization the occupant was safely extricated.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to construction of the water infrastructure improvements (installing new water valves), there will be a substantial WATER SHUTDOWN ON JUNE 1st, beginning at 7:30 AM and likely lasting until late afternoon. This shutdown will affect all Village utility customers in the following areas:

- High Street, from Taylor Street to Main Street
- Taylor Street, from Sandusky Street to High Street
- North Main Street, from Sandusky Street to High Street
- Chestnut Street, from Sandusky Street to First Street
- Mulberry Street, from Sandusky Street to High Street
- First Street, from Main Street to Holly Holly Street
- Second Street, from Taylor Street to Main Street
- Holly Street, from Taylor Street to First Street
- College Street, from Taylor Street to Main Street

In short, this shutdown will affect virtually all water customers from High Street to Second Street, and from Taylor Street to Main Street. The Splash Pad at Kokosing Park will also be CLOSED on June 1st, due to this water shutdown.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this necessary large shutdown.
