On the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001. We were blessed to be the honorary Battling Billie Team Captains and recognized as local first responders!!

God Bless all first responders, military and the families of those who lost loved ones 25 years ago!

America Remembers…

343 firefighters from the FDNY.

37 officers from the Port Authority Police Department.

23 officers from the New York Police Department.

441 total first responders from over 30 different agencies.

2958 victims lost on September 11, 2001.

Today we honor those men and woman first responders and their families who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Today we remember the victims and their families who lost their lives and the families left behind.

Great support can truly make a difference!

Strong communities are built through kindness, collaboration, and a willingness to help others.

We would like to recognize and thank Dr. and Mrs. Hammersen for coordinating an amazing initiative that brings together multiple organizations to provide a monthly care box for our officers and deputies to distribute when they encounter a family or individual in need.

These boxes represent more than just supplies. They are a symbol of hope, compassion, and the power of community partnerships. We are truly grateful for Dr. and Mrs. Hammerson's dedication to helping others and for their continued support of our community.

We were are grateful that we had a special visit with “Dog Gone Clean” mobile spa.

Deputy K-9 Riz enjoyed the Spa and friendly visit as you can see in his smile!!

🚨CRIME OF THE WEEK🚨

The Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding the 290 East Storage buildings. On Monday August 24th, 2026, forced entry was made into 3 storage units which were then burglarized. Numerous items were taken including silver bars.

The Gillespie County Sheriff's Office is seeking information regarding a stolen vehicle.

A blue 2025 Hyundai Tucson, similar to the one in the photo, originally reported stolen in Kerr County, was later located in Gillespie County, where it had been burned.

Would like to take this time to say Thank You to Gillespie County Mental Health Deputy James Kruse.

We received a letter regarding MH Deputy Kruse assisting a family with getting the help they needed for a loved one in a mental health crisis.

With MH Deputy Kruse and the family working together the family member was able to get the help needed.

The GCSO along with many great county mental health agencies are committed to those who struggle with Mental Health!
