Take a closer look at Breakthrough by Susan Rivers, currently on view in the FCCA Members Gallery.

The longer you spend with this painting, the more you’re rewarded for looking. Delicate lines form shapes that seem to undulate, while gestural passages give way to unexpected textures and subtle shifts in color.

Every viewer finds something different.

What do you see? Come in and spend some time looking.

There’s something exciting about an Artist Choice exhibition: you never quite know what you’re going to find.

Juried by Gabriel Pons of PONSHOP Studio and Gallery, our June exhibition brings together a wide range of styles, subjects, and media, all selected from works artists felt most compelled to share.

Featured on this month’s poster are works by Caleb Mathews, Jill Chesnut, and Susan Rivers.

Join us for First Friday on June 5, or stop by throughout the month to experience the exhibition.

Surrealism Tuesday, May 19, 2026 7:00 – 9:00pm in Members' Gallery FREE - Professor Allen Reamer

Surrealism is an art style in which fantastical visual imagery from the subconscious mind is used with no intention of making the work logically comprehensible. The Surrealists included Salvador Dali, Max Ernst, Giorgio de Chirico, Jean Arp, Man Ray, Joan Miro and Rene Magritte. We will begin by discussing the history of Surrealism and its roots. Next, we will discuss art and lives of as many Surrealists as time permits
