Cullen, seven years, 18 pounds, was returned today because the cat in his adoptive household was extremely aggressive to him. Cullen returned to his foster home without a care in the world, as he knew that he was a popular guy yesterday and he would be yet again. This being said, he has only had a couple families email, and unfortunately, they are all out of town. Cullen does well with dogs, his size, cats, and we believe he would do well with respectful children. He has had no accidents in his foster home and his crate trained, though he would much prefer to sleep right in bed next to you. Nine year old (though he acts much younger) Shredder is looking for a husky savvy household. Shredder is a complete love, though he does have a tendency to get over excited and hump, despite being neutered for many years. He has tested well with other dogs, but we would recommend a cat free household. Shredder has been with us for quite some time and is more than ready to find his forever home. If you are looking for a one and only, Rocket may just be your guy. Rocket is approximately 1 1/2 years, super outgoing and quite playful. He is looking to remain indoor only in a home that will dote upon him and provide lots of toys for him to play with. If you would like to know how he got his name, simply watch to the end of the video😆 Rocket is at the Spotsylvania Animal Shelter and hoping you will consider coming to meet/adopt him today before four, and make sure to bring a carrier to take him home in.

Cullen, 7 years old, says he is back and looking for his Forever home. He did nothing wrong, but the cat in the home was super aggressive towards him and almost scratched his eye, and they were worried for his safety. Cullen does well with other dogs, cats, although he might be a little fearful now. He loves sleeping in bed right up against his human. Typical to a smaller dog, he will need dentals as he ages, and we do want to make sure that an adoptive household is prepared for those and grooming. We would argue that there’s not much cuter than these adorable brothers. Approximately three months old, the buff tabby boys are full of energy and love to wrestle with one another and would be thrilled to be adopted together. The third brother is also quite playful, just a little more chill than his siblings. We would absolutely love to see all three of these boys, and their two sisters adopted tomorrow to wonderful families that understand that a Kitten is a commitment for a lifetime, often one that is close to two decades. If you are certain that you are ready for that commitment, and can keep them indoor only so they can live their longest and healthiest life, they would love for you to consider bringing a carrier and coming to meet/adopt them tomorrow between noon and four. Please remember if you do not already have a younger cat or kitten at home, kittens are best in pairs.

Winona is a sweet 4 year old German Shepherd mix with a sweet demeanor that will melt your heart. Though the shelter environment can feel overwhelming, and she is currently wondering who that loud "barking seal" in the neighboring kennel is, 🦭 Winona is eager to trade the noise for the peaceful quiet of a home.
Naturally shy, she looks to people for reassurance and warms up quickly with a little encouragement. Winona will blossom best with a confident dog sibling in the home to show her the ropes.
