American Legion Post 244 Fredericksburg TX We are the Louis Jordan American Legion Post 244 of Fredericksburg, Texas. We meet at 5:30 PM on the 3rd Monday of each months.

The Louis Jordan American Legion Post 244 is a member of Division 4, Department 21 (Texas) of the American Legion. Our meeting hall is located at 726 South Washington Street in Fredericksburg Texas. The Legion meets on the third Monday of each month at the hall. We are a patriotic veteran organization devoted to mutual helpfulness and support of our community. We support the Boys State and the Ora

Hi Veterans,

I am encouraging Veterans to apply for the Honor Flight trips through Honor Flight Austin. I have attached the applications for WWII, Korea (must have the Korean Service Medal on DD-214), and Vietnam (must have the Vietnam Service Medal on DD-214). They normally run their Honor Flights from April to October. By submitting your application now you can get on the list for the upcoming flights. The trip is free of charge. Spouses cannot go on the trip.

Print the application (SINGLE sided) and attach a copy of your DD-214 or WWII discharge document and bring it to my office. If you want to go on a trip with another Veteran, write that at the top of your application. I will scan your application and send to the POC. Mailing can sometimes be a problem.

It's a great trip. I have gone on two community flight trips, and recently went on the first All Women Veteran Texas trip in October.

The National Museum of the Pacific War will honor those who served the United States on
December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor, on Wednesday, December 7, at 12:25 p.m. in the Memorial
