B Shift going First Due!

INCIDENT INFORMATION 🚨

Yesterday evening around 2000 hours, B-Shift 1st Battalion units were dispatched to Box 12-30 in the 00 block of Ethyl Lane, across from Warrenton Road, for a reported structure fire.

Engine 12 arrived on scene to find a single-story residence with smoke showing from all sides and a working fire in the attic. Crews quickly advanced a hose-line and were able to knock down the fire in under 5 minutes, successfully containing it to the attic.

Search crews conducted a thorough search of the home and safely removed multiple cats from inside the residence. All occupants were able to self-evacuate prior to the arrival of fire units, and no injuries were reported.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
