Fredericksburg Regional Continuum of Care - FRCoC

Fredericksburg Regional Continuum of Care - FRCoC The Fredericksburg Regional CoC is a network of community organizations working together to prevent and end homelessness within the Fredericksburg region.

This network is comprised of non-profits, local governments, and other community partners who provide a coordinated response to those experiencing or at imminent risk of homelessness. Through a strategic planning process, the Fredericksburg Regional CoC develops, implements, and refines a crisis response system that ensures homelessness is prevented whenever possible and is otherwise rare, brief,

and non-recurring. The Fredericksburg Regional CoC serves the City of Fredericksburg and the Counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, and Stafford.

As you may have seen, the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) has rescinded the FY25 CoC Program NOFO that was released last month. While we wait for HUD to issue updated guidance or a revised NOFO, we will continue moving forward with our local competition in a scaled-back form to avoid losing momentum.

At this time, we are requesting applicants submit a condensed application using the existing local competition system. This will function as a brief submission of intent but does not require applicants to complete the full local application. Applicants should simply input information on project type, proposed budget, project scope and need, and the population target. These questions are already set up in the Good Grants system being utilized for our local competition and there is no need to create a separate letter of intent or start a new process. If you are further along, please submit what you have. If you have only completed the initial required questions, that will be sufficient for this stage.

This approach will allow the CoC to understand the anticipated project pool and be ready to move quickly if HUD releases a revised NOFO in the near future. We will provide updates as soon as HUD issues additional guidance.

Local competition applications and required attachments must be submitted electronically through GWRC’s grant platform: https://loom.ly/U7QaIZ8
