Important School Photography Update
We have an important update regarding school photography and yearbooks.

Our school is no longer using Lifetouch for photography or yearbooks. Please disregard any emails you may receive from Lifetouch regarding school pictures or yearbooks.

Our fall picture schedule is as follows:

Fall Picture Day: September 23 with Barksdale Photography

Picture Retake Day: November 4

Picture flyers will be coming home with students tomorrow.

Important: All students must bring their picture flyer with them on Picture Day to give to the photographer, whether or not they are purchasing pictures.

While many adults can recall exactly where they were on Sept. 11, 2001, today’s students are learning about the attacks from textbooks — and schools in central Pennsylvania are finding ways to make the lessons personal.

At Northern Lebanon Elementary School, students in kindergarten through sixth grade created hundreds of posters that were displayed around the school playground.

Principal Justin Bruce said the project began with a card sent home with each student.

Today as the nation remembers the 25th anniversary of September 11, NLES took part in their 25th tribute event! The playground fence was adorned with hundreds of patriotic signs created by our k-6 students. Students spent the day hearing survivors stories streamed from the 9/11 Museum in New York, as well as participated in a Freedom Walk to view all the signs designed to honor first responders. We even had a special guest…CBS 21 news visited! Hopefully you caught us this evening on their 5:00 news and/or check their website to see our coverage!

🍋 Making a Difference, One Cup at a Time! 🍋

We couldn’t be more proud of these two amazing girls! This summer, they ran a lemonade stand and earned an incredible $900, which they have generously decided to donate to help meet needs within our school community, in partnership with our school social worker. 💛

Their kindness, initiative, and desire to give back are truly inspiring. Thank you for stepping up and making a difference in our school! We are so proud of you! 🌟
