A message from Larry Ostby:
“I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share something important with you. Physically, I’m doing okay, but emotionally, I've been struggling. After much thought and consideration, I’ve decided that I will be closing the food bank at the end of the month.
This decision hasn’t come easily. Jo once told me that running the food bank could become overwhelming, and I’ve found that to be true. I’ve spoken with my children, and they’ve encouraged me to take this step for my well-being.
After 33 years it’s time for me to step back. The food bank will be permanently closed as of August 31, 2024. I want to thank you for your understanding and support, not just from the past difficult year, but for all the 33 years.”
We will keep this page active for awhile to inform the families we have served, and for the donors who have made it all possible, of any food assistance opportunities available.
