As congestive heart failure (CHF) advances, patients and families often face new and increasing care needs.

While physicians can prescribe medications that help the heart function more effectively and may provide years of relief. Over time, even the best treatments may no longer restore function, and symptoms can become increasingly difficult to manage.

If you or a loved one is in the later stages of CHF, talk with your doctor about whether hospice care may be able to provide additional support, comfort, and quality of life.

Last week, “We Rise By Lifting Others,” a beautiful kinetic sculpture by Kirk Seese and Marlene B. Young, began its next chapter at the Kline Hospice House!

After three years along the Carroll Creek Art Promenade, it was transported to its new permanent home—thanks to the Delaplaine Foundation, Inc., the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek, and dedicated partners from Frederick County Parks and Recreation, MD, Frederick Health, and Frederick Health Hospice.

Now this meaningful piece stands in a place where patients, families, staff, and visitors can experience its message each day —reminding us all that we rise by lifting others.
