Mountain Communities Family Resource Center - MCFRC Our History...
The Family Resource Center started in 1999 after the El Tejon Unified School District received a Healthy Start Operational Grant.

Providing Social Services to all Mountain Communities residents: Basic Family Needs, Senior & Adult Services, Kern County Services, Health & Insurance Assistance, Food Pantry, Rental and Utility Assistance, Parenting Classes & Bus Passes. Community members voiced their opinions through door-to-door surveys, focus groups, community meetings and key informant interviews about family and community ne

Established during the Healthy Start Planning Grant (1997-1999) as the Mountain Communities Collaborative, we work together to bring resources to our community and provide support to the Family Resource Center. Collaborative members consist of Kern County agencies, local businesses, organizations and community members. This project s sponsored in part by First 5 Kern. Funded by Proposition 10 & Southwest Health Care District.
