Today, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, marks 𝟮𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 since the tragic events of September 11, 2001. A quarter of a century has passed, but here in East Whiteland Township, our promise to 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 remains unshakeable.

We pause today in solemn remembrance to honor the 𝟮,𝟵𝟳𝟳 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁 and to salute the incredible bravery of the first responders, military personnel, and everyday citizens who risked everything.

Wherever you are today, we invite you to join your neighbors in a moment of silence to honor those we lost, support the families who still grieve, and renew our commitment to one another as a community.

“This week the Township received multiple reports that the developer of the Sentinel/Green Fig data center site had disturbed the protected “cap” area of the Foote Mineral Superfund site. The Township and EPA investigated these reports and determined that while the construction team was doing grading work near the cap, they were within the allowable disturbance area and did not enter upon or disturb the cap. which includes the Erosion and Sedimentation Control Permit (ES-2026-24) to allow grading of the site and installation of stormwater management controls. There are no active building permits as of the end of day on September 4th.”

Community Day is a chance to celebrate our community and give back to it, too! People's Pantry at Church Road will now be joining us to collect food donations that will help provide essential items to local families. While all donations are welcome, they are especially in need of:

The Chester County Health Department is sharing information and resources as measles continues to spread in Pennsylvania.
Measles is highly contagious, but vaccination is the best protection.

Residents are encouraged to review their MMR vaccination records and contact their health care provider if they are unsure whether they are protected. Residents with questions about MMR vaccination can contact the Chester County Health Department at 610-344-6225.
