What a great way to end the week! We celebrated the first month back with an amazing Hornet Huddle and a "knock the cup off your teacher's head" game. October's trait of the month is kindness. Have a great weekend everyone! :)

Hey Drought families! 🥙

Skip the dishes on Wednesday, September 23, and let Panera do the cooking. From 4 to 8 PM, come grab dinner at the Oak Creek Panera on South Howell and a portion of every sale comes right back to our PTO so we can plan more fun events and support the staff and students!

Just use code FUND4U at panerabread.com, in the app, or at the kiosk. Ordering online? That counts too, all day long.

Bring the kids, bring your appetite, and bring a friend. Every bowl of soup helps our school.

See you there!

Thank you to American Legion Post #20 for joining Drought students and staff for lunch today on 9/11! Every student at Drought signed the red thank you banner and the upper grades showed their thanks by sharing jokes with our visiting veterans during their lunch! Special thanks to Veterans Fred Chart and Jeff Marks for joining us! And huge thanks to the Drought PTO for providing lunch for our staff and our visiting Veterans!

Our annual Trunk or Treat will be held on October 16th, and yes—the epic helicopter candy drop is back! Craig from Pro Electric will be flying helicopter for us. Thank you! We appreciate you! To make this drop our biggest one yet, we need your help to fill multiple 5-gallon buckets with candy. We will be accepting candy donations in the main office starting September 16th. The PTO appreciates your help more than you know! ☺️
👻🎃 Let’s make this an unforgettable night for the kids! 🎃👻
