PLEASE DO NOT BURN this Tuesday or Wednesday!!

Grass, leaves and twigs are extremely dry & humidity is very low. A slight breeze can easily cause a fire to become out of control in only a matter of minutes.

Our crews have been out each of the past three days fighting grass/brush fires. Last night we joined Sheldon, Highgate & Enosburg to extinguish around 15 acres taking over 4 hours.

PLEASE DO NOT BURN this Tuesday or Wednesday!!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Franklin Fire Department’s Calcutta last night! Your support and generosity made the evening a great success. Events like this only come together because of the incredible people in our community who show up, participate, and stand behind their local fire department.

We’re grateful for our members, the sponsors, the dessert donators, the band, every ticket purchased, every bid, every laugh shared, and every conversation had. Your involvement helps us continue improving our equipment, training, and services so we can keep Franklin safe.

Couple of housekeeping notes for tomorrow nights big event:

1️⃣ We will be asking for your Calcutta ticket at the door at check-in

2️⃣ Cash or check for the dessert auction

3️⃣ At 8:00 pm we will open our event to the public to party with us while Heavy Pour Band plays! We are asking for a $10 per person, cash or check, donation at the door.

This past Tuesday, March 17, our members attended their CPR recertification training at the station, it was instructed by Bakersfield Volunteer Fire Department.
