Please join us in welcoming our newest Firefighter, Ethan Ellingson. Ethan comes from a firefighter family and has been around a “firehouse” his whole life. He started as a call member in Franklin last November. He has recently completed his Advanced EMT training and is currently working through the NH Fire Academy’s firefighter recruit program. Ethan has already proven to be a dedicated employee for the City of Franklin.

The schedule for the 3rd Annual New Hampshire Fire & Rescue Conference is here!

We are excited to bring together instructors from across New England to deliver a full day of training focused on leadership, fireground operations, EMS, company officer development, training, and personal growth.

This year's conference features an outstanding lineup of presenters, including Michael Wallace, Tim Griswold, James Kirk, Andrew Frechette, Will Thalheimer, Gordon Pippin, Daniel Nowill, Andy Biron, Dave Quick, Rob Reardon, Timothy Nickles, Joseph Guarnera, and AB Turenne.

Whether you are a firefighter, EMT, paramedic, company officer, instructor, chief officer, or student, there will be valuable training opportunities for every attendee.

This morning crews were dispatched to a rescue call for a cat stuck in the guard rail on the bridge. The cat was stuck under a fence and had the potential of falling in the river. Crews were able to extract the cat with no apparent injuries.

If this is your pet, crews brought the cat to the Franklin Veterinary Clinic located at 39 Hill Road in Franklin.

Missing a paddle boat?

On Monday afternoon (5/18) the Franklin Fire Department, along with Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS, recovered a paddle boat from the dam near Tresle View Park. This likely came from Silver Lake. If you are missing a boat, please contact Deputy Hall at 603-934-2205.

The Franklin Fire Department would like to congratulate newly licensed Paramedic David Sabo. David started with the Franklin Fire Department on October 31, 2022 as a Firefighter EMT. He has worked very hard to accomplish many goals leading up his paramedic certification. We are very lucky to have such a dedicated service provider. Thank you David!
