Did you know at one time the fire department was dispatched by volunteer dispatchers. Homes were set up within the Villages with radios and 911 phones. The dispatchers would answer the call and then set off the Tornado siren which would alert the volunteers of the call.

Chief Averbuch's Final Report

Greetings!!

To the residents, business owners, elected leaders, and members of the Franklin-Bingham Farms
Fire Department

For more than twenty-seven years, it has been my profound honor to serve as your Fire Chief. When I was entrusted with this responsibility, I inherited far more than a title. I was given the opportunity to help steward a department whose strength has always rested in the people who choose, day after day, to serve something larger than themselves.

This, my final report, is in many ways a story of that choice.

Another dog has been SAVeD!
Meet Milton, he was found as a stray by a nice firefighter and taken in. After no one came forward to claim him he was taken under the rescue. Thanks to the for sponsoring him! He is about 6 months old, housebroken, dog friendly and will be up for adoption very soon!
