The fire department is saddened to learn the passing of Franklin resident, a former FBFD firefighter, Mack Truck fundraiser and supporter, and all around civic-minded volunteer, Gary Roberts. Gary had spearheaded the Mack restoration project after the passing of his father Assistant Chief David Roberts.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and all that knew Gary.

The fire department will be honoring Gary with an American flag draped from our ladder truck on the way to the Franklin Cemetery.

The 52nd annual week-long campaign is celebrated under the theme "Improving Outcomes, Together," which highlights how emergency medical personnel collaborate with 911 dispatchers, public health officials, and law enforcement to save lives.

Improving Outcomes, Together extends beyond medicine. It’s a collective responsibility that involves investing in the people behind the care with fair pay, safe staffing levels, mental health resources, leadership that listens and acts, and opportunities for professional growth.
This week, we recognize the people behind the patch and reaffirm our commitment, as partners and communities, to Improving Outcomes, Together.
