UPDATE: Lynda Jones has been found safe! Thank you all for your assistance in getting the message out!

ALERT: MISSING ELDERLY WOMAN

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating 81-year-old Lynda Jones, who may have difficulty finding her way home due to a medical condition.

Lynda was last seen around 7:00 p.m. near 6726 Cool Springs Road. She was wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.

If you live in the area, please check your property, garages, outbuildings, and security cameras for any signs of Lynda.

Anyone who sees her or has information about her whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately or contact the Williamson County Sheriff's Office at (615) 790-5550.

Please share this post to help us locate Linda and bring her home safely.

🚁🌳WCSO Reserve Unit: Teamwork in Action 🌳🚁

Last Saturday, several members of the Williamson County Sheriff's Office Reserve Unit donated their personal time and equipment to clear trees and brush around our Special Operations facility.

This project was completed entirely on a voluntary basis, saving Williamson County taxpayers thousands of dollars while improving safety around our Aviation Unit's takeoff and landing zone.

This project is a great example of the dedication, teamwork, and servant leadership displayed by our Reserve Unit. We are grateful for their willingness to give back to the Sheriff's Office and the citizens of Williamson County.

A New Chapter for Public Safety in Williamson County

Today, Williamson County officials, community leaders, and project partners gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Williamson County Detention Center.

This project represents a significant investment in the future of public safety, ensuring our county has the facilities and resources needed to support continued growth while enhancing safety, security, and operational effectiveness.

"This groundbreaking marks a significant milestone for Williamson County and the future of public safety in our community," said Sheriff Jeff Hughes. "Today, we are not simply breaking ground for a new building, we are investing in the safety, security, and long-term needs of a county that continues to grow and prosper."

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office extends its appreciation to Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson, the Williamson County Commission, WCSO staff, and project partners Graham Smith, VERSITE, Bell Construction, and Treanor for their leadership, partnership, and commitment throughout this important project.

We are looking for the next group of motivated individuals to join our team. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is currently hiring Detention Deputies.

Starting pay is $29.33 per hour, with an additional $.57 per hour for Second Shift Differential (2PM to 10PM) and an additional $0.86 per hour for Third Shift Differential (10PM to 6AM).

No prior corrections experience is required.

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Possess a high school diploma or GED. Have a valid driver’s license. Pass a background investigation and drug screening. Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualified candidates will receive comprehensive training through our Detention Training Academy and gain the skills needed to succeed in a rewarding career in public service.
