This is an educational page to keep the citizens of Kentucky informed. You need to keep a watchful eye not only on our federal government, but also on our state government. Here is a breakdown of their 2016-17 funding budget:
Revenue sources are: hunting and fishing licenses (51%); boat registration fees (7%); federal program funds (34%); program income (3%); interest income, tax check-off donatio
ns, and other miscellaneous receipts (5%). This does not include the auction receipts. Their last auction in 2015 BROUGHT IN OVER....ARE YOU READY....$116,000! The department conducts several auctions throughout the year. Beware, no government body should be allowed to come into your home, business and confiscate any item that they do not own. Especially items that are being re-sold, secondhand. Below is a recap:
DEAR CUSTOMERS & FRIENDS
We wanted to let you know the outcome of our recent trial held on August 21, 2012. The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife DROPPED all charges against
Linda Bright but unfortunately the charges against Riley Bright
were deferred for 24 months. What this means, if Riley does not have any "run-in's" with KY Fish and Wildlife in the next
24 months, all charges against him will be dropped. WE HAVE YOU TO THANK FOR THAT! We still have a long battle ahead of us. Kentucky citizens still have to live in FEAR of KY Fish and Wildlife officers
RAIDING their business or home if they suspect you are trying to sell YOUR taxidermied
animal mount. (this includes deer antlers, turkey feathers, etc.) Remember, THIS IS YOUR PROPERTY! YOU paid for your hunting license
YOU paid to have your animal processed
YOU paid the taxidermist to manufacture the mount
After you have BOUGHT and PAID for your harvested animal, you should be able to sell your
taxidermied animal mount if YOU CHOOSE TO DO SO. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CHANGE AND CLARIFY KY LAW 150.180
JOIN US BY SIGNING THE PETITION! AVAILABLE AT BRIGHT'S ANTIQUE WORLD
EMAIL AND TELL THE FOLLOWING POLITICIANS & KY FISH AND WILDLIFE
OFFICIERS THAT WE ARE GOING TO CHANGE THIS LAW. Tell them they have no right to violate our right to sell our own property. With your help you can ensure no other KY citizen's rights will be
violated as ours have been. Thank you, Riley and Linda Bright
