BAW & KY Citizens Vs. Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources

BAW & KY Citizens Vs. Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources Bright's Antique World was RAIDED, RIGHTS VIOLATED & THREATENED by Kentucky's KDFW in 2013 Especially the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Services.

This is an educational page to keep the citizens of Kentucky informed. You need to keep a watchful eye not only on our federal government, but also on our state government. Here is a breakdown of their 2016-17 funding budget:
Revenue sources are: hunting and fishing licenses (51%); boat registration fees (7%); federal program funds (34%); program income (3%); interest income, tax check-off donatio

ns, and other miscellaneous receipts (5%). This does not include the auction receipts. Their last auction in 2015 BROUGHT IN OVER....ARE YOU READY....$116,000! The department conducts several auctions throughout the year. Beware, no government body should be allowed to come into your home, business and confiscate any item that they do not own. Especially items that are being re-sold, secondhand. Below is a recap:

DEAR CUSTOMERS & FRIENDS
We wanted to let you know the outcome of our recent trial held on August 21, 2012. The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife DROPPED all charges against
Linda Bright but unfortunately the charges against Riley Bright
were deferred for 24 months. What this means, if Riley does not have any "run-in's" with KY Fish and Wildlife in the next
24 months, all charges against him will be dropped. WE HAVE YOU TO THANK FOR THAT! We still have a long battle ahead of us. Kentucky citizens still have to live in FEAR of KY Fish and Wildlife officers
RAIDING their business or home if they suspect you are trying to sell YOUR taxidermied
animal mount. (this includes deer antlers, turkey feathers, etc.) Remember, THIS IS YOUR PROPERTY! YOU paid for your hunting license
YOU paid to have your animal processed
YOU paid the taxidermist to manufacture the mount
After you have BOUGHT and PAID for your harvested animal, you should be able to sell your
taxidermied animal mount if YOU CHOOSE TO DO SO. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CHANGE AND CLARIFY KY LAW 150.180
JOIN US BY SIGNING THE PETITION! AVAILABLE AT BRIGHT'S ANTIQUE WORLD
EMAIL AND TELL THE FOLLOWING POLITICIANS & KY FISH AND WILDLIFE
OFFICIERS THAT WE ARE GOING TO CHANGE THIS LAW. Tell them they have no right to violate our right to sell our own property. With your help you can ensure no other KY citizen's rights will be
violated as ours have been. Thank you, Riley and Linda Bright

10 years ago we were RAIDED, HARRASSED AND THREATENED BY KDFWR
Never let a government agency threaten your rights.
We put a stop to their extortive behavior and a Kentucky Law that had been on the books since the early 1900's was FINALLY CLARIFIED.
Never back down!

Species Requiring Registration:
-Black Bear
-Bobcat

This is an Educational Page for you so you know your RIGHTS in the state of KY concerning harvesting an animal or fish.

Thank you for all the reviews and kind words.

We made this page for you, the people who love the outdoors, who love to live off the the land.

I have heard there are still attorney's, including our hometown of Franklin, that are informing citizens it illegal to sell your taxidermy items.
It is not.
There are several that need paperwork from KDFW.

FYI Folks!
Yes, we got the law clarified, but If you sell taxidermy items in KY YOU NEED THIS INFO.
There are 5 animal species (and all European species) that require paperwork & registration -WITH THE STATE- before you can sell their taxidermy form:

Species Requiring Registration

Black Bear
Bobcat
White-tailed Deer
Elk
Wild Turkey
And ALL EUROPEAN SPECIES

Go to this KDFW website for the paperwork:
https://app.fw.ky.gov/taxidermyregistration/Intro.aspx

Other taxidermy items you cannot sell will be listed on the KY endangered species list, US endangered species list, or world endangered species list.

Hope this info helps.

In light of the national scandal this week, I might add that I, Riley, nor any of my antique dealers " " broke any law.

One agency played the bully, bent and broke the law to their favor, all in order to get what they want.

Are there 2 sets of rules? 1 set for like folk and 1 for the rest of us?
Did this past week tell you nothing?

Just a little more education.
The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife has conducted several auctions since 2012. (There have probably been auctions for decades.)
Earlier, I posted they made $20,000 from 1 auction alone, silly me, that was a donation!
Read on..... Get educated today!
These auctions consist of confiscated items, of course not taxidermy items, so we are told.
Their last auction in 2015 netted over $116,000!
But yet, they needed to harass and try to shut down a small business, whose owners make their living running an antique store.
(Note, the year they raided our business, they conducted 2 auctions.)

Here's the link below, check it out for yourself:
The auctions on this page go back to 2012.
