🚨 Proactive traffic enforcement takes illegal drugs and fi****ms off our streets.

A traffic stop conducted for equipment and other traffic violations resulted in the recovery of suspected Crack Co***ne, Ma*****na, and a loaded firearm.

The driver is facing charges including Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Co***ne, Possession with Intent to Distribute Ma*****na, and additional firearm-related offenses.

Traffic enforcement plays a critical role in removing illegal drugs and dangerous weapons from our streets and keeping our community safe.

🐾 In Loving Memory: K-9 Jolene 🐾

It is with heavy hearts that the Franklin City Police Department announces the passing of retired K-9 Jolene, call sign K904.

Jolene, a dedicated and beloved Bloodhound, served our community with honor and distinction from 2015 until her well-earned retirement in 2022. During her seven years of service, Jolene used her incredible tracking skills to reunite missing loved ones with their families and assist officers in the field.

Beyond her incredible work ethic, Jolene was a favorite at community events, always ready to greet citizens with a wagging tail and her trademark floppy ears.

Thank you for your service, Jolene. We have the watch from here. 💙

Get ready to fall in love with our new series, 🐶Furry Fridays! 🐶

Each Friday, we're shining the spotlight on some amazing adoptable dogs at the shelter who are waiting for their forever homes.

⭐️Corporal Coughlin's top picks this week are ⭐️

Meet Potato, a 10-year-old Miniature Pinscher with a heart of gold, who would thrive in a home with no small children or other dogs.

Then there's Money, a 3-year-old lovable bully mix who would flourish in a home with no male dogs, where he can indulge in his favorite pastime - playing in water - and receive endless affection, because he's a true love bug!
