NOMINATIONS SOUGHT FOR THE
“2023 FRANKLIN BOROUGH SENIOR OF THE YEAR”

Do you know a Franklin Borough senior citizen who is a role model, who supports the community through volunteer efforts, supportive activities, and advocacy on behalf of others?

Nominating that individual as Franklin Borough's Senior of the Year is the perfect way to acknowledge all of their selfless acts, dedication, and support to the Franklin Borough community.

If you know a senior citizen who you would like to nominate, email [email protected] to request an application. Please ensure that your nominee meets the following criteria.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
1. Nominee must be a resident of Franklin Borough.
2. Nominee must be 60 years of age or older.
3. Nominee must be a role model by supporting the community through volunteer efforts, supportive activities and advocacy efforts on behalf of others.
4. If your nominee is selected to receive this award, they must agree to attend the Award Ceremony.

The winner is not chosen based on number of times he/she is nominated but judged on community involvement, advocacy efforts, and serving as a role model for others. Therefore, it is imperative that the information included on the application is accurate, complete, and as specific in detail as possible.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION:
Submit the three-part Nomination Form to the Franklin Borough Recreation Committee by March 15, 2023.

AWARD PRESENTATION:
The Franklin Borough Senior of the Year Award will be presented during the Spring Fling event, on Saturday April 22, 2023.

CALLING ALL CRAFTERS AND MAKERS!!! Come join us this Saturday Feb 25 9am-3pm for OPEN CRAFT DAY at the Senior Center. Suzanne from StampinUp will be there with catalogs, and some cash and carry items for those of you interested in paper crafting. Bring whatever projects you are working on and spend the day sharing ideas, trading supplies, and learning new stuff!
