Out of concern for the safety of our employees, the City of Franklin will be closed tomorrow, January 26th. We will do our very best to be in the office on Tuesday. If you have an emergency with your water or sewer please contact the Sheriff’s office at 979-828-3299 and they will get a message to us. Thank you all and stay safe and warm.

Entergy will be doing an emergency shutdown any minute now but it will not last long. Estimate is 30 minutes.

For Halloween this year, The Franklin City Council recommends that Trick or Treating take place on Saturday, November 1st as Friday October 31st is the last home football game and Senior night. Trick or treating on Saturday will allow everyone to enjoy both Senior Night Football on Friday and Halloween festivities on Saturday. Thank you and see you all out October 31st for football and November 1st for Halloween.

The Garbage truck is down for repairs this morning and North Side trash will be delayed. If your trash is not picked up today it will be picked up tomorrow. We thank you for your patience and understanding as these repairs were unexpected but we will get trash picked up as soon as possible.

Franklin city park will be closed for 24 hours due to issues with the water well that is at the Park. We apologize for the inconvenience but for everyone’s safety we need to limit access until the repairs are done. Thank you.

City Hall will be closed for the Christmas holidays on December 23rd, 24th and 25th. Trash pick up on the north side will still be on Tuesday the 24th. South side trash will be moved to Thursday December 26th. Merry Christmas to everyone.
