The Macon County 250th Committee wants everyone to have a good time during the Fun & Fireworks in the Park on Saturday, July 4th beginning at 4:00 p.m.

There are a few rules to keep in mind to be safe and considerate of others.

NO Drones in the park or in fireworks fallout zone area.

NO Alcoholic Beverages allowed.

NO Fireworks are allowed in the park ... this includes sparklers, firecrackers and poppers.

Once the fireworks are onsite NO ONE is allowed in the safety or fallout zone.

We recommend leaving pets at home but if bringing ... ALL PETS MUST be on Leashes at All TIMES.

Both the Franklin Police and Macon County Sheriff's Departments will be on site monitoring activities.

Macon County's America 250 Celebration will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4th at the Macon County Recreation Park with fun, food, games and music! It is sure to be a busy day. As you're making plans to attend now it is a great time to discuss parking and FREE Shuttle Rides.

Parking will be available at the recreation park in several areas, but will be limited. Parking is NOT allowed except where indicated. Designated Handicapped Parking will be at the Rec Park Pool.

FREE Shuttle Service will be available to the Macon County Recreation Park at several locations. Shuttles will run from 5:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Shuttle Service will resume following the conclusion of the Fireworks Display. The last shuttle will run at 11:00 p.m.

Macon County's America 250 Celebration will conclude with more than a bang! Munnerlyn Pyrotechnics will be producing Fireworks in the Park again this year and it will be our largest ever! It will also be set to music that you'll be able to hear it on 104.9 WFSC Radio. The all aerial fireworks show will be launched from the Macon County Fairgrounds. SHOWTIME IS 10PM! This Saturday, June 13th, "Pickin' on the Square" is back with one of the one of the most high-energy performances you'll see all year. We're pleased to present Nashville Recording Artist Jason Passmore! The music begins at 6:00 pm. Bring a lawn chair and join in this great evening of Country & Southern Rock in downtown Franklin at the Gazebo (15 East Main Street for your GPS). What an evening of entertainment and fun that has been planned for Macon County's America 250 Celebration. Live entertainment, activities for kids, food trucks and more begin at 4:00 p.m. Headlining the entertainment is Braden Rumfelt of American Idol fame. He'll perform at 8:30 pm and again after the fireworks display. The Darren Nicholson Band will also be performing. Darren is an 11-time International Bluegrass Music Association award winner and has performed multiple times on the Grand Ole Opry! Be there at 5:05 pm for their performance. Macon County's America 250 Celebration continues on Saturday, July 4th beginning at 10:00 a.m. as the Town of Franklin presents its Independence Day Parade & Celebration! Franklin hosts one of the few July 4th parades that visitors and locals alike can actually participate in! If you would like to be part of the parade, be in the lower parking lot of Town Hall at 10:30am for lineup. Entrants can walk, drive or ride and are encouraged to don red, white, and blue. The same applies for pets. THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE! Just come join in the fun! Great contests, free watermelon and bottled water (as long as it lasts), food trucks and much more will be featured. We're filling you in over the next several days on the activities and events of Macon County's America 250 Celebration. This two-day event will be held on Friday & Saturday July 3rd and July 4th. On Friday evening, following the activities at the Parker Meadows Complex, enjoy a FREE concert at the Gazebo on the Square in Downtown Franklin!
