📰Great article for a !

From making an impact on the basketball court to making a difference in the lives of others, Franklin Community alumni continue to leave their mark.

Read more about the remarkable contributions of twin brothers, Jon and Don McGlocklin, and FCHS graduates, whose leadership, dedication, and teamwork helped shape the successful 1973-1974 basketball seasons.

We're especially proud that one of these outstanding alumni, Jon, is a member of the FCHS Alumni Hall of Fame, recognized for his philanthropic work and for co-founding the MACC (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) Fund, an organization that has raised millions to support pediatric cancer research and care.

🏆🌿 State Champions, National Bound! 🌿🏆

Our State Champion FFA Wildlife Team was recognized at the Indiana FFA State Convention for their success this year!

This talented team, Lena Penning, Lincoln Warner, Norrah Harmening, and Layla Schrock, demonstrated outstanding knowledge and skill in wildlife management, conservation, and identification to earn the state title.

Their journey isn't over yet! The team is now preparing to represent Indiana at the National Wildlife Contest this July in South Carolina. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

Join us in congratulating these outstanding students and wishing them the best of luck as they take on the national stage! 💙💛

More summer school fun! 🌞

Continuing with their summer theme, "Our Community," Ms. Ballesteros shared pictures from summer school's visit from School Resource Officers Doug Cox and Greg Strehle.

The officers shared what it means to serve and support our schools and community, giving students a firsthand look at the important role law enforcement plays every day. Students had the opportunity to explore a police vehicle, ask questions, and even received their very own sticker badges! ⭐🚔

Thank you, Officers Cox and Strehle, for taking the time to invest in our students and share about your important work!

🏘️ Learning beyond the classroom! 🚒📚

Mrs. Thomas' summer school class is exploring the theme "Our Community" and discovering the people, places, and services that make Franklin a great place to live and learn.

So far, students have visited Fire Station 21, where they learned about the important role firefighters play in keeping our community safe, and the Johnson County Public Library, where they explored resources and stories.

Their community adventure continues with an upcoming visit to Main & Madison!

Hands-on experiences like these help students connect classroom learning to the world around them while building a deeper appreciation for the community they call home.
