📚🚒 Story Time with Station 21 🚒📚

This afternoon, the crew from Ladder 21 & Squad 21 had the opportunity to spend some time at Toodleydoo Toys reading stories to some amazing young readers in our community.

We always enjoy opportunities like these that allow us to connect with children outside of emergency situations and build positive relationships with the families we serve. The smiles, laughter, and excitement for story time made for a great afternoon!

A big thank you to Toodleydoo Toys for hosting us and to all the children and parents who joined in the fun. We look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything to protect them.

From all of us at Franklin Fire Department, we extend our deepest gratitude to our fallen heroes and their families.

Franklin units along with our mutual aid partners were dispatched for a structure fire at the Cedar Creek of Franklin nursing home. Calls reported a lightning strike to the facility. Crews located a small fire in the attic above the front office. All residents were safely evacuated by staff. All residents have since returned to the building. Thank you Whiteland Fire Department Engine71 for your assistance.

This week all 3 shifts trained on active shooter scenarios in preparation for a countywide multi-department training coming up in June. We would like to thank Chief McGaha and Lt. Scholl from White River Township Fire Department for leading the training for our crews.

It’s always great training with our mutual aid partners.
