I wanted to take a moment to thank District 4 for allowing me to serve you over these last 4 years. I have poured my heart into my elected position of Commissioner and we did some really great things. We helped boost education funding, providing multiple base pay and cost of living raises and teacher bonuses even during the challenges covid brought. And going forward, with the coordinated effort of Senator Jack Johnson, Rep Glen Casada, Rep Brandon Ogles, Rep Sam Whitson at the State level, in correcting our State education funding imbalance by replacing the BEP formula. Now our per student funding from the state will be more inline with the rest of the state.

The job of Commissioner should always be based on the relations you build with the people your serve. I worked hard to reach out and be accessible to everyone in this county and be a resource. If i could not help directly, the goal was always to help find you the best person to address your concerns. In this ever changing but blessed County we live in, that is an important skill that we need to continue to look for in our next representatives. We are in the last week of early voting and as I wined down my time as your commissioner, i ask for your support for the following candidates who I believe best fill the traits needed to continue the strong leadership required to keep this county one of the best places to live in America. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart and please provide your vote and support to the following Schoolboard and Commission Candidates in District 4 and surrounding districts. Again, Thank you so very much and God Bless

District 4:
Schoolboard - Josh Brown
Commission: Gregg Lawrence and Pete Stresser

District 6:
Schoolboard - Jay Galbreath
Commission: Paul Webb and Erin Nations

District 12
Schoolboard - Drason Beasely
Commission: Steve Smith and Brian Clifford.

The one lane tunnel at Wilson Pike and clovercroft will be closed for drainage repairs until June 24. Sorry for the inconvenience but please know you will need to take an alternate route until work is completed

04/28/2022

Greetings all, over the last few months Anyone who travels Wilson Pike & Clovercroft have seen the issues with flooding shutting the tunnel down.. As stated before, Wilson Pike is a state road and the tunnel is property of the railroad. So that requires a great deal of coordination anytime maintenance Is required ,After coordinating with the office of Senator Jack Johnson, our County Highway, and the Tennessee Department of Transportation, they have set a tentative date of 6/6 that crews will be coming out to Address culvert and drainage system issues. Luckily school traffic will be at a minimum at this point but will require that section of the road be shut down for a period of time while crews are working.

We will keep you up-to-date as we come closer to the schedule date for more specific times and impact

To my Williamson County Friends, early voting for our county primary starts tomorrow. As many already know, I am not running for re-election to the commission. I can't begin to tell you how much i enjoyed serving this county and representing my friends and neighbors to the best of my ability. Over the last 4 years, we have raised teacher pay 4 times, funded a new animal control center, approved the construction of many new needed schools and approved the funding for the Page Middle/High expansion, Centennial football turf, walking paths for Trinity Elementary and many other important priorities for our families. More importantly, we worked with our State Reps to hopefully get a more fair State education funding model that has left our county with a nearly $40 million dollar funding shortage that then Governor Bredesen left us with for every year. As this county continues to grow, the challenges will never stop. This is why we need to elect good people to keep this county moving forward the best way possible.

This past year the county went through it's 10 year redistricting and a lot of District 4 and 12 had to shift. So please verify your new voting district by clicking on this link and enter your address. It will give you voting locations and validate your voting district https://web.go-vote-tn.elections.tn.gov/options

I would like to share with you my recommendations for District 4 and 12 Commission and School Board. These folks are the most constructive, prepared and well equipped to continue the hard word required to represent Williamson County

District 4 County Commission
Gregg Lawrence - Williamson County Commission - District 4 & Pete Stresser

I have had the honor and privilege to work Gregg for the last 4 years. There is no more principled individual on the commission. His heart for service and to this community is unquestioned and he will continue to be an advocate District 4 needs. He has already served this county for going on 8 years and look forward to his continued leadership.

Pete is a successful CEO and education advocate. He has raised his family here in Franklin for many years with several children who attend WCS. He will continue to help support and build this county in a constructive and positive manor.

District 4 School Board

Josh Brown, Williamson County School Board, District 4

I have known Josh for several years. When the school board seat was vacated, I spent 2 months talking to about 12 candidates who were interested in the vacant seat. With the issues of mask mandates and curriculum at fever pitch, being able to find someone with the ability to navigate the turbulent times ahead was essential. Josh has served with a constructive conservative voice and has proven his ability to lead at every board meeting. He will continue to be that leader and deliver what we have been missing from our school board member in District 4

District 12 County Commission

Steve Smith For Commissioner

Steve has worked hard for this county and severed as vice chair for the commission as well as represented the commission on the budget committee. He has worked in most every committee and understands the challenges this county faces. We need his continued leadership and as you for your support for Steve for re-election

Brian Clifford for Williamson County Commissioner District 12

Brian works as the Director of Parks and Conservation for the State of Tennessee. He travels the entire state and probably has the best view of what Tennessee is and is growing to be. He also has an extensive Legal background which only adds to his understanding of process and details required when making decisions for our county

District 12 School Board

Elect Drason Beasley, District 12 Williamson County School Board

Drason manages the Juvenile Justice Department for Williamson County. He was raised here in Middle TN and has deep ties to the community. He has made it his life’s mission to serve the youth of this county and wants to empower the families in this county when it comes to the education of your children. Over the last 2 years, there were no easy answers as to how best to move forward with teaching our children while keeping our students and teachers safe. I feel the decisions that were made neglected the mental and social health of our kids. We have issues to address with our curriculum and restore the partnership with out families and our teachers. There are many groups trying to create division and our children deserve more than chaos. Drason and Josh will help bring accountability and trust back to our school system

In closing, I know people grow tired of politics. But part of that is due to folks creating chaos to cloud judgement with emotion. If this county is to continue to be a leader for success as we have enjoyed over the last 20 years, we need constant constructive leadership. For district 4 and 12, I ask that you vote for these leaders. Please reach out to your friends, families and neighbors to encourage them to get out to vote starting tomorrow. Once we get these folks through the primary, we need your continued support for the general election in May.

Please reach out to me or any of these candidates if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your time and consideration and again, please support these great folks.

https://youtu.be/QGRBOuD-q_E this month’s policy talks include many members of our Williamson COUNTY area legislative representation. Senator Jack Johnson, representative Casada and representative Whitson . Great discussion regarding the education funding model that is of great importantance since over 60% of our county budget is allocated to education. Our representatives spent time today breaking down changes and How this new system could more fairly allocate state funds to Williamson County.

01/12/2022

The state allocated funding model is currently under review. Our state legislature will be voting on the new funding model before our yearly county budgeting in July. Over the last 10 years, Williamson County’s funding allocations have been reduced and reallocate to the rest of the state. The department of education is asking for your input and we need our country residents to please review the funding outline and then email the state ([email protected]) asking for a more fair allocation of state funds so we can better fund teacher pay and other education expenses. Williamson County pays a larger portion of our education expenses than any other county and this is our opportunity to keep more of our tax dollars for our local education system. Please share with your friends and family and send your emails by January 18th.

After months of collecting feedback and public opinions, the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) has released a draft of a new student-based public school funding formula.
