Join the City of Franklin on Saturday, October 31 from 6-8pm for it's 8th Annual BOO ON THE BAYOU trunk or treat along the Historic Bayou Teche on Teche Drive. Safe & Family-Friendly!

If you, your family, business, church, school or civic organization would like to take part in this wonderful community spirited event please contact Tammy Rogers at (337) 828-6350 to reserve your space. In the past years we have had upwards of 4,500 attend this family friendly event.

We are asking our community champions that wish to register and give out candy to help us keep the line moving as efficient as possible. As we get closer to the event we will post the map of the entrance and route. Simply a great, family-friendly event along the Historic Bayou Teche.

That morning the Harvest Moon Festival will be taking place along Main Street in Historic Downtown Franklin. Also, the Heart of Hospice Butterfly Release that afternoon. It's going to be a great full day and night in Historic Downtown Franklin!

The City of Franklin is currently experiencing a power outage affecting Cleco customers in specific areas of the city.

At this time, Cleco has not released information regarding the cause of the outage however restoration appears to be approximately 9am.

Should you experience an emergency, please contact the Franklin Police Department.

The City of Franklin will continue to monitor the situation and will relay additional information to the public as soon as it is received from Cleco. Cleco may be reached at 1-800-622-6357

The City of Franklin is currently experiencing a citywide power outage affecting Cleco customers.

The City of Franklin Water Plant is currently operating on emergency generator power, and city officials are monitoring the situation.

At this time, Cleco has not released information regarding the cause of the outage or an estimated restoration time.

Should you experience an emergency, please contact the Franklin Police Department.

The City of Franklin will continue to monitor the situation and will relay additional information to the public as soon as it is received from Cleco.

Due to conditions of grounds at Hanson from the amounts of rain this week and today the September clean up scheduled for Saturday will be postponed until a later date!

Today, the City of Franklin joins our nation in solemn remembrance of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years have passed, but we have not forgotten the 2,977 lives taken, the families forever changed, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless acts of courage, sacrifice and humanity that followed.

May we continue to honor their memory not only by remembering how that day changed America, but by remembering how Americans came together in the days that followed.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
