All proceeds to be donated to The Tunnel To Towers Foundation.

Join us on Sunday September 13th at our annual Franklin Square Community 9/11 Remembrance Service. The service will begin at 6pm and will be held at the 9/11 memorial in Rath Park, on Naple Ave. 25 years later we still remember.

This past week members traveled to Wisconsin to the Pierce Manufacturing Facility to conduct the final inspection on the new 713. The truck will undergo some final modifications then it will be delivered to Long Island in the coming weeks where tool and equipment will be mounted and then members will familiarize themselves on it before it will be placed in service. Stay tuned!

***Community Traffic Advisory***

The Town of Hempstead will be hosting its Summer Concert Series tonight at Rath Park. Please be aware there will be significant traffic or road closures in the immediate area of Rath Park.

If you plan on attending the show we recommend walking to the park. However if you drive over parking is available in the Town parking lot on Naple ave. If you park your vehicle on the street we ask that you don’t double park, block any of our neighbors driveways, block any fire hydrants and ensure enough room is left for our emergency vehicles to get through if needed. Handicapped parking will be available on the North side of the field at the Benris Ave side of the park.

We regret to annouce the passing of retired Firecom dispatcher #29 George Barber, Jr.

George served Nassau County from March 1986 to November 2012. He was also a 50 year exempt member of the Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department. Please keep his family in your prayers.
