It was wonderful to celebrate the hard work, leadership, and dedication of these remarkable young women as they advanced to the next level of scouting. Honored to join Mayor Christopher Devane, the New Hyde Park Village Board, TOH Receiver Jeanine C. Driscoll, Assemblyman Ed Ra, Legislator John Giuffre, local veterans, the New Hyde Park Fire Department, Eagle Scout Troop 298, and residents to remember the 57 New Hyde Park veterans that sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
It was a meaningful ceremony that served as a great reminder that Memorial Day is more than just a long weekend, it's the chance to express gratitude to the men and women of our armed forces.

Yesterday, I was proud to join Mayor Kevin Fitzgerald, the Floral Park Village Board, TOH Receiver Jeanine C. Driscoll, Legislator John Giuffre, Floral Park Police Department, Floral Park Fire Department and residents for the Village of Floral Park's Memorial Day Service.
Together, we honored the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and reflected on the true meaning of this important day. Their courage and service will never be forgotten.
