Congratulations to our very own Chief Thompson on being named Franklin County's Best Law Enforcement Officer of 2026! Your dedication, leadership, and commitment to protecting and serving our community have not gone unnoticed. This is such a well-deserved recognition and thank you to all who voted. Thank you Chief Thompson for your service and we are proud of your accomplishment and grateful for all that you do!

Here in the SPRINGS we love a rainy night; however, this evening is a different story. With graduation in the SPRINGS this evening's traffic will be heavy and the roads will be wet starting around 5pm. Pedestrians will be crossing HWY 29 to get to graduation. PLEASE AVOID THE AREA IF POSSIBLE, AND SLOW DOWN! We are extremely proud of our 2026 Graduates and want to make sure they and thier families remain safe on this special day!

Franklin Springs City Hall will be closed Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day. Also, residential garbage pickup will be delayed by one day. Garbage pickup will resume on Tuesday, May 26th. The Mayor, Council, and employees wish you all a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend.

It's sad that we have to put this out there! Please beware of scammers trying to profit off our upcoming car show. This event has no online registration and no transactions should be made but at the event table the day of the event! We look forward to seeing all of you this Saturday from 4pm till 7pm!

Did you know that all water is recycled? There is a lot that goes into the water we drink so the City of Franklin Springs put together an informational video to help visualize these processes. Special thanks to Jagged Rock Media for producing this film and Garrett Register for his animation.
