Road Closure - Colonial Road
Thursday, June 25

Starting on Thursday, June 25, Colonial Road will be closed between Sunset Terrace and Route 208 from 7:00am until approximately 5:00pm for utility work. The duration of the work is unknown at this time. Plan alternate routes and follow the detour as needed.
That section of the roadway will be closed to ALL traffic during the specified time above.
The posted traffic plan will detour traffic traveling North on Colonial Rd to make a Right turn onto High Mountain Road, Left Turn onto Route 208 South, Take Exit for Summit Avenue, bear Left, and turn Left onto Summit Avenue overpass, and make a Left onto Franklin Avenue.
Traffic traveling South on Colonial Road will take Franklin Avenue, Make a Right onto Summit Avenue, bear Right onto Route 208 North, to Colonial Road Exit.
Businesses at 794 Franklin Avenue will still be accessible from Colonial Road.
Residents at Colonial Pointe will need to enter Colonial Road from Sunset Terrace.
The detour route will be clearly marked with MUTCD compliant signs, and monitored by county inspectors and Franklin Lakes Police.

Traffic Alert - Triathlon
Saturday, June 20, 6:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Be advised that on Saturday June 20 from 6:30 AM to approximately 11:00 AM, The Wyckoff Family YMCA will hold its 44th Annual Wyckoff/Franklin Lakes TRIATHLON at The Indian Trail Club located in Franklin Lakes.

There is a bicycle and run portion of the triathlon that will take place through certain streets in Franklin Lakes. There will be Police Officers assigned from the Franklin Lakes Police Department and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department assisting with traffic control at necessary points throughout the race route. There are NO road closures, however there will be times where traffic may be stopped or delayed momentarily to allow for bicyclists or runners to safety navigate an intersection or a turn on the course. Please expect traffic delays and drive carefully through the Borough of Franklin Lakes during the event.
