A MESSAGE FROM JUDGE MINGO

Integrity, knowledge, and good judicial temperament are all qualifications that I bring to the Franklin County Municipal Court’s Environmental Division. The most important resource that I bring to our court system, I believe, is summed up in one word - experience. Experience lends itself to all things in life, and most especially justice. Consider the following:


  • I have years of experience standing before the bench and now sitting on it. As a former Franklin County Prosecutor with experience representing the county in Environmental Court, I know of the anxiety that travels with plaintiffs and defendants entering into the strange environment called a “courtroom”, and also of the pressures that accompany the attorneys charged with representing them.

  • I’m personally familiar with injustice based on race and skin color, and equally know that justice is not born blind, but that we must make it so.

  • I can tell you personally of the delicate balance between law, facts, mercy, and the importance of a sitting Judge understanding all three concepts.
