Timbers Edge residents are invited to celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 22, 2023! Clean up will take place from 9 AM to 11 AM. Gloves, garbage bags, free t-shirt, and a free pizza lunch will be provided to all volunteers. Residents who are unable to attend the event can still participate by picking up trash on open lots and/or the curb near your home.

As the warm weather approaches, you can expect to see more children outside riding their bikes, skateboards, etc. With that said, we would like to remind everyone that the speed limit is 25 mph in Timbers Edge. The HOA will be working closely with the Frankfort Police Department to ensure the safety of our residents.

In addition to the above, we wanted to share a few reminders to help us maintain an enjoyable place to live:

1. The sidewalks are considered communal areas, but lawns (and vacant lots) are the private property of each homeowner/lot owner. Please do not allow your dog to wander onto the lawns to do their business (strictly enforced minimum $200 fine for each violation). In the same manner, children, contractors, guests, etc., should be reminded that it is not okay to bike, walk, or skate across neighboring lots (vacant or otherwise).

2. Please help us keep our community clean by making sure trash bags are tightly fastened in the container and by picking up loose trash in and around your lot.

3. Please help keep the park clean by respecting the park and play areas (i.e., do not sit on the picnic table, toss your trash in the can, etc.).

4. Portable basketball hoops are not to be placed in the street and they must be stored behind the front of the property line nightly.

5. Please be considerate and respectful of our neighbors by lowering the volume of your music while driving through the Timbers Edge.

6. All mailboxes, playsets (including trampolines) that need repair (i.e., painting or staining, missing parts, out of plumb) must be taken care of by June 1, 2023. If you are unable to repair any of these items mailbox or if you need assistance, please let us know.

7. Individual Garage Sales are not allowed in Timbers Edge. Timbers Edge community will participate in the community wide Garage Sale. The date of the event will be communicated to our residents once it has been announced by the Village and/or Frankfort Park District.

8. No trucks, trailers, campers, etc., are to be kept on any lot or on any street (i.e., dilapidated, or disabled vehicles) more than 48 hours (and only for the purpose of loading and unloading).

9. ATVs and dirt bikes are not allowed in the communal areas (i.e., park, pond area, 80th avenue berm). In addition, ATVs are not allowed to be ridden anywhere in the Village of Frankfort unless they are properly licensed, street legal, and insured.

10. ARB approval is required for all exterior modification and landscaping projects. Additionally, ARB approval is required before the project begins.

Sincerely,
Timbers Edge Homeowners Association

Don’t Bring What You Moved Away From To Your New Neighborhood!

06/15/2022

Hello Everyone,

We received a couple of concerns from residents recently and want to send a couple of reminders as we approach summer. Because children are out of school, they are out playing and riding their bikes more. We would like to remind residents to be mindful of their speed when driving in the neighborhood.

We would also like to remind dog owners to refrain from letting your dogs go to the restroom in parkways, neighbors’ yards, vacant lots and the park. Remember to carry bags to pick up your dogs waste when you are out walking them.

These are reminders that will help keep our children and residents safe and keep our neighbors free from stepping in dog p**p. Together we can make this a safe and comfortable neighborhood.

Best wishes to you all for a great summer!

Winter is finally settling in, with it comes the joy of snow and freezing temperatures. As a reminder, when shoveling and plowing snow, do not throw it into the streets.

Also, be mindful of the winter street parking restrictions. Let's enjoy the picturesque views and hope it will melt soon.

December 15, 2020:

Reminder to our residents:

1. The Village of Frankfort does not allow parking on streets between the hours of 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM after a 2” snowfall. This ban allows crews to completely clear streets of snow and ice. Failure to move your vehicle may result in a ticket and/or tow by the Frankfort Police Department. An additional fine of no less than $100 may also be assessed by the HOA.

2. Do not blow or shovel snow from driveways onto the streets as this can create a hazard.

3. Parents please warn children about the hazards of digging tunnels in snow piles, especially those along the road.

4. Use caution when driving near snow removal equipment.

5. Don't forget to shovel around the fire hydrant near your property to ensure quick identification in case of fire.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Timbers Edge Residents:

We hope that everyone had a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving Holiday. With that said, we want to encourage everyone to help keep Timbers Edge clean. Please make sure that all trash bags/cans are tightly secured before placing them on the curb on pickup day. Additionally, we ask that all builders, contractors, etc., make sure all refuse (i.e., packing material) is discarded properly and not left scattered around the construction site.

In addition to the above, we would like to remind all pet (dog) owners that you are required to curb your pets. We received several complaints regarding people who allow their dogs to relieve themselves either in the parkway, park, and/or vacant lots (which are privately owned). This behavior in unsanitary and violators may be subject to fines.

Stay Safe and Thanks for Your Cooperation,
Timbers Edge Homeowners Association
