Let’s Catch Up😊🌟

Over the past couple of months, the MPAD has been hard at work. From covering the O-course and completing battalion weapons qualifications and even an in-air promotion ceremony, we’ve continued to sharpen our technical skills and learned the importance of staying adaptable in every environment, from the ground to the skies.

🎥 133rd Mobile Public Affairs Detachment – MWR Day & Holiday Lunch 🎄

Today, Soldiers of the 133rd Mobile Public Affairs Detachment started off our December drill weekend with a MWR day in Frankfort.

The team visited the Kentucky Military History Museum, where they were guided through the exhibits by former MPAD Soldier, now retired, Andy Dickson. He highlighted the service, sacrifice, and legacy of Kentucky’s citizens who served. The visit offered a chance to connect with the rich heritage that shapes our mission and inspires our work as public affairs professionals.

Afterward, the unit enjoyed a holiday lunch at Goodwood in downtown Frankfort. The meal provided a great opportunity to relax, build camaraderie, and celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of the year.

A big thank-you to the museum staff and to Goodwood for their hospitality, and to the Soldiers of the 133rd MPAD for their dedication and professionalism throughout the year.

EVERY ANGLE, EVERY TIME 📸

Over this months drill weekend, we were busy covering numerous events, including simulated fire training, a tandem jump, nighttime personnel extraction, media facilitation and aerial reconnaissance. All of these events helped show our versatility as public affairs specialists.

This FTX is crucial in showing the 63rd Theater Aviation Brigade ability, ensuring readiness in the Guard and a prime example of how we are always ready, always there.

LOOK OUT BELOW!

Our very own SGT Georgia Napier took part in a tandem jump today during our drill weekend as the unit took part in the 63rd Theater Aviation Brigade's all-hazards training event which was held at the Kentucky Air National Guard base in Louisville.

That's the dedication our PAO Soldiers have to getting the mission accomplished.

LIGHTS. CAMERA. ACTION!

During this months drill weekend, our Soldiers practiced conducting a press conference with senior leaders as part of their function as a media operations center in preparation to handle any future emergency response.

Our public affairs specialists ensure that the accurate information is getting out in a timely manner.

🗝️ The key is maximum disclosure and minimum delay.

Watch out! New MPAD drivers on the road 🔥🛞🪖

Today, our team burnt some rubber as we licensed new Humvee drivers. We worked on skills such as hooking and backing up trailers in order to ensure mission readiness.
