The Utica Academy of Science Charter School (UASCS) will provide support, challenges and opportunities for its students, and it will instill the necessary skills and knowledge in math, science, and technology to empower students, through high intellectual standards, preparing them for college, career, and citizenship. The school seeks to graduate students who can think critically and creatively, w

On Monday, June 1st, hosted the annual Senior BBQ!

The Class of 2026 came together to celebrate their accomplishments, friendships, and the memories they’ve made. From great food to lots of laughter, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with fellowship and school spirit!

🚀 Junior-Senior High School soared to new heights at the Museum of Science & Technology - MOST CNY Rocket Challenge!

We are incredibly proud of our 4 middle school teams and 3 high school teams for representing our school. Scholars put their STEM knowledge into action by designing, building, and launching rockets while showcasing outstanding teamwork, problem-solving, and engineering skills.

This hands-on experience provided valuable real-world applications of science and technology and inspired the next generation of innovators!

Junior-Senior High School ENL students enjoyed a visit to the New Hartford Public Library! 📚

The explored the library, read books, completed puzzles, and participated in fun activities together. Many students signed up for library cards for the first time and borrowed books to take home. Students also enjoyed visiting the library bookstore, where they purchased books.

They also enjoyed breakfast treats and shared pizza together for lunch while spending time with classmates in the library’s outdoor seating area. The trip was both educational and enjoyable, and many students shared that they would love to visit the library again in the future!

Using what they’ve learned, the brought their favorite stories to life through creative, hands-on projects. Scholars designed their very own Rapunzel’s Tower and created projects inspired by The Frog Prince!

Elementary is proud to highlight the incredible impact of the Project RISE Afterschool Program, a partnership between Utica Academy of Science and the Mohawk Valley Latino Association!

This spring, students have been enjoying enriching experiences after school, including homework help, academic support, hands-on STEM activities, art projects, literacy development, and physical fitness opportunities.

Through Project RISE, are building confidence, strengthening friendships, developing new skills, and fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.

A special thank you to Ms. Carlisle, Ms. Martinez, Ms. Newman, and everyone involved in making this program such a meaningful and successful experience for our students. Your dedication is making a lasting difference!

What a fantastic morning at SANY's very first 5K on Saturday, May 23!

Held at Willow Bay in Onondaga Lake Park, this event brought together staff, families, and friends for a day of fitness, fun, and team building. It was wonderful to see our SANY community come together to support one another and celebrate healthy living.
