The Utica Academy of Science Charter School (UASCS) will provide support, challenges and opportunities for its students, and it will instill the necessary skills and knowledge in math, science, and technology to empower students, through high intellectual standards, preparing them for college, career, and citizenship. The school seeks to graduate students who can think critically and creatively, who are committed to a lifetime of learning and civic involvement, and who are conscious of local, global, and environmental issues. 🌈🍬 A little candy + a little science = A LOT of fun!

Mrs. Huxtable’s turned Skittles into a colorful science experiment! Our young scientists made predictions, watched the rainbow of colors spread through the water, and recorded their observations.

Such a fun way to learn science hands-on!

Congratulations to the Junior-Senior High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team for an impressive 2–1 victory over defending sectional champion Bishop Ludden-Grimes!

Bishop Ludden-Grimes struck first, taking a 1–0 lead within the opening five minutes. Ali Awo answered with a tremendous long-range shot that beat the goalkeeper and tied the match. Jason Doh later converted a penalty kick to give the the lead and seal the victory. The team showed great resilience and composure to overcome the early deficit and secure an important win.

Congrats to Coach Merriam and the squad! 👏⚽

We remember the families who lost loved ones, the communities forever changed, and the countless individuals whose lives were impacted by that day.

The Girls Varsity Soccer Team opened the season with a dominant 7–0 victory over Madison on Saturday!

⭐ Player of the Game: Ajna Husovic
Ajna had an incredible performance, scoring 6 goals and 1 assist!

👏 8th-grader Gabby Htoo also made her mark with 1 goal and 1 assist.

Molly, Christianna, and Grace from Notre Dame contributed with key assists, helping set up several of Ajna’s finishes. It was a fantastic team effort, with strong contributions from players throughout the lineup.

Congratulations to our UAS Ladies Soccer Team and Coach Hamza on an incredible first win of the season! Keep it going, ! 💪

Junior-Senior High School students completed the Paper Tower Challenge, working in teams to build the tallest and strongest tower using only paper!

Through this hands-on activity, practiced teamwork, communication, creativity, problem-solving, and cooperation. Activities like this help students build important skills, strengthen classroom relationships, and create a positive learning environment from the very beginning of the school year!
