Three decades of service to children at the King Center have significantly impacted both the children and the community. It was informative to hear Sheila Mason share her thoughts and experiences gained from the King Center.(L to R)

— Warm, Inspirational, Community‑Centered When Kiwanis Family Comes Together

When we think about the impact the Kiwanis Club of Frankfort can make in our community, it always comes back to one thing — your involvement. Every hour you give, every young person you mentor, every moment you show up… that becomes your legacy.

Thank you to our incredible Kiwanis family for supporting the Franklin County High School Key Club Annual Picnic. Your presence and generosity made a difference for the students we serve.

A special thanks to our friends who traveled from Scott County, Ashland, and Lexington to stand with us. Your commitment reminds us that Kiwanis is bigger than any one club — it’s a community of leaders shaping the future together.

What been shared reads like a moment the whole community can feel proud of — a new coach stepping in not just to win games, but to shape character. The heart of Coach Sutton message is that Frankfort High School isn’t just getting a football coach; it’s gaining a leader with a clear philosophy rooted in trust, gentleness, and love for one another. Those are rare values to hear articulated so plainly in competitive sports, and they say a lot about the culture he wants to build.

💙Reflection on Frankfort High’s New Football Coach💛

What an outpouring of joy as we welcomed the new football coach Dwight Sutton from Frankfort High School. His message was powerful, heartfelt, and grounded in the kind of leadership young people need today. He shared his coaching philosophy with clarity and conviction, emphasizing his core TEAM values: Trust, Be gentle, and Love our brother.

These aren’t just words — they’re a blueprint for building strong athletes and even stronger human beings.

He also spoke with deep gratitude about one of the greatest mentors in his life: his grandfather. That connection to family, legacy, and humility says a lot about the kind of leader he is becoming.

A Kiwanis member summed it up perfectly: “It’s great when you have a leader who cares about men and women with expectations.”

Go Orange and Blue.
(L to R) Vice-President, Kristie Powe, Coach Dwight Sutton, Kiwanian Host, Dr. Sheri Satterly, and Frankfort High AD, Amy Dungan.
