The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Friday afternoon through Friday evening.

AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 210.

WIND...Northwest winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

HUMIDITY...25 to 30 percent.

THUNDERSTORMS...None expected.

IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.

Our hearts are with Buffalo Fire Dept, and their families. When duty calls we go to work expecting to be back to our families when the work is done. Unfortunately, this is never guaranteed as we saw yesterday where we lost a brave soul protecting his community. May you rest in peace Firefighter Jason Arno. We will take it from here.

It's not every day we lose a brother so young in the Fire Service. The Members of the Frankfort Hill Vol. Fire Company send our deepest condolences to Corey Farley's family. This is a very heart breaking loss to coworkers at the Oneida County 911 Center and Sauquoit Fire Department. Please keep all in your thoughts as they try to cope with this tragic loss.
Rest in Peace brother, We'll take it from here.

The members and staff of the New Hartford Police Department send our deepest condolences to the family of 911 Dispatcher and Sauquoit Fire Fighter, Corey Farley. Corey’s professionalism and calmness on the radio made even the worst calls a little easier to handle.

Corey will be missed by all of the agencies who were lucky enough to have him as a dispatcher at one time or another.

Please keep Corey’s family, and coworkers at the Oneida County 911 Center and Sauquoit Fire Department in your thoughts as they attempt to cope with his loss.

Thank you for your service Dispatcher Farley, you were truly one of a kind.
