DAV Post #3 and Quilt of Valor Foundation honored KDVA Commissioner Whitney Allen, Deputy Commissioner Juan Renaud, and OKVS Executive Director Silas Sessions during the chapter’s Quilt of Valor honor ceremony at the Pritchard Community Center, Elizabethtown, KY on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Six DAV Post #3 members were honored, two who were World War II veterans, and Executive Director Silas Sessions with Quilts.

KDVA hosted the Women Veterans State Conference and Retreat at the General Butler State Resort Park in Carrolton, KY, June 5 to June 7. This was a networking opportunity and a means to expand connections across Kentucky's 120 counties.

Schedule:
Early Access
June 15 open at 8:00 AM

Live Event-June 17
- 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Veterans & Military Families
- 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Open to All Job Candidates

Late Access
June 19 close out at 5:00 PM

Early and late access times allow job seekers and employers the chance to see what job positions are available/posted and job seekers who registered. This allows those who are unable to attend during the live event time to be able to still see what's out there, with our hope to better meet the needs of the seekers and employers.

This event is completely free for both employers and job candidates / seekers, providing an excellent opportunity to connect and explore career opportunities. Looking ahead, our job fair will take place on the third Wednesday of each month in 2026.

REMINDER: We’ve expanded access for job seekers/attendees. Instead of limiting early and late access to the day of the event, you as the job seeker will now have additional days before and after the live event to browse opportunities, apply for positions, and continue networking. This added flexibility helps maximize engagement and allows you to participate more intentionally around work and personal schedules. During the week of the live event, early access will begin at 8a Monday, and late access will end at 5p Friday. The live event will remain the same, 10a-1p Wednesday.

The KYVETS Program of Kentucky Department of Veteran Affairs is providing you with as many tools as possible to find a great career. This event is FREE and you Must Register to Attend. Last month, we had a wide range of registered employers including government, manufacturing, healthcare, education and so much more with over 890 career opportunities.
