🧸 Meet Tuggles! 💙

Prevention education doesn’t always look like a classroom lesson—and sometimes, it looks like a friendly bear!

Through the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Grant, Healthy Communities uses fun and engaging tools like Tuggles the Bear to help teach children important lessons about making healthy choices, building positive habits, and knowing that they have trusted adults they can turn to.

Tuggles helps us make prevention education something kids can understand, remember, and enjoy! 🐻🌟

Starting these conversations early helps give children the knowledge and confidence they need to make healthy decisions as they grow.

Because prevention starts early—and learning can be fun!

Keep an eye out for Tuggles as he continues making his way into our community and helping us spread the message of healthy choices! 🧸💙

It’ll be a ton of fun that you won’t wanna miss! We’ll have a Recovery Walk with support from FPD from Prairie Creek Park to the Clinton County Courthouse starting at 5:15pm! Be sure to arrive a bit early to get your ALL NEW free shirt 👕 to wear for the walk! This event is open to EVERYONE in our community that supports recovery!

Michael Bennett & Efusion Entertainment Mobile DJ will be setting the vibe with some serious jams🎧🎤, our friends at St. Matthew United Methodist Church will be serving up a delicious FREE dinner 🤤🤌🏻, Rossville Lions Club will be providing free ice cream🍦, over 30 vendors‼️, Brianna’s Hope recovery milestones❤️‍🩹, powerful testimonies💜, bounce houses, yard games, super cool raffle prizes, and LOTS more!

LET'S TALK TRAILS! 🚴🗺️

Residents are invited to a community town hall on Sept. 16 to walk through the details of a new trail project that would connect downtown Frankfort to several of the community’s most used destinations, including Prairie Creek Park, TPA Park, Frankfort Commons Golf Course, Wesley Manor, the Frankfort Lagoons, and the Milky Way.

📍 6:30 p.m. at Trinity Hope Center, 806 N. Columbia Street

Residents will be able to review maps of the proposed route, view drone footage of the corridor, and ask questions of the project team in person.

The family-friendly evening will include a meal of walking tacos and giveaway of a bike and children’s helmets.

This is for FREE car seat inspections! Did you know the majority of car seats are installed incorrectly? Stop by the Frankfort High School parking lot on October 24th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to get your car seat inspected. If a replacement car seat is needed, one can also be provided.
