🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

The Franklin County Regional Jail has received reports this week of scammers contacting family members and claiming they can accept bond payments over the phone or online. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has also reported similar scam attempts.

Please be aware: This is a scam.

The ONLY ways to post a bond for an inmate are:
• Cash bond paid in person at the Franklin County Regional Jail
• Bond paid at the Franklin County Clerk’s Office

We do not accept bond payments over the phone, online, or through payment apps.

If you receive a suspicious call requesting payment for an inmate’s bond, do not send money or provide personal or financial information. If you have any doubts, hang up and contact the Franklin County Regional Jail directly to verify the information before taking any action.
