This page has been asleep the last two years after my election. Thank you who all supported me and helped me get elected. We have an election coming up quick. Early vote at Frankfort Library starts March 17th, 2025 and voting day is April 1st. Please help me elect 5 amazing candidates who care very much about our Summit Hill SD 161❤️❤️. I wanted to make the this post sooner. I am deeply grateful for everyone that helped us win the election to Summit Hill SD 161 board seat. It was a big effort by many with so many people to list. I will message, text, and call you all individually to express my deepest gratitude💙🙏. I am especially grateful to Matt Carey, Ronnie Petrey, and Belinda Olszewski who are incredible selfless people that I am grateful to for all of our time spent on this campaign with all our hearts in it for all the right reasons, our kids, and the kids of Summit Hill District 161.

We are ready to dive in and achieve an even greater learning environment for our students, enhance our school safety, recognize and value the great staff that makes our school district outstanding.

My Brother/ Great Friend Beezer stopped by with his son and voted for us. He went out to many of his neighbors and they came out too. Grass roots community. We appreciate you all. So many other people I will thank as we wrap it up at 7pm.

My son has had a great real experience in civics. My family has been incredible and so have so many others in our community. Today is the day to be heard and vote. Ronnie Petrey, Matt Carey and I will be dedicated to all of you and your children. Your vote counts today. Thank you all for your tireless efforts and support. I share the same sentiments as Ronnie Petrey said perfectly in his post today. Tomorrow is the last and only day to be heard. Vote for us and you will have a seat at the table as a parent should. April 4th, 2023 from 6am until 7pm. Every vote matters.

As I walked the streets of community Summit Hill 161, a lot of people asked me why I am running for school board. This question was decided years ago when my son was behind a screen at home instead of getting an education in school. It was decided when he had to wear a mask in school, on the bus, or even outside. It was made when I saw his education and material he had to cover be done within minutes. It was made when I saw his test scores go down because he was not in a classroom for an entire year. So, I started to go to board meetings, I listened and wrote things down, and most importantly I started to ask questions. What I found was alarming and I wanted things to change. So, I put together a campaign and met two other dads (John Winter, Mathew Carey) that felt the same exact things. We want parents to be able to review things that go on in the school district, to ask questions, and share their opinions before things get voted through. We want an administrative team to present things to the community such as the programs, costs, the pros, and cons and allow parents to have time to ask questions before it gets voted on. We want our district to bring the latest and most productive ways to keep the school safe and the community to get involved. We want a district to bring the best curriculums, best programs, and most inventive ways to challenge our students to be the best they can be academically. Lastly, we want to be a district that hires the best teachers that are creative, and dedicated to their craft, students, school, and community.
TODAY marks the final 2 days for you to come out and vote for me Ronnie Petrey, Mathew Carey, and John Winter. It will take all of us to come and vote, to make this change, for our community and students. You have one of two options! You can vote for candidates that are from previous school boards and keep the status quo, or you can vote for the three new dads that want something different and better for our kids and yours. Please come out and vote! Tomorrow April 4th marks the final day for you to vote. We need you, your family, friends, and neighbors to make this happen. The three of us will be dedicated to the students, giving them the academic experiences that will allow them to challenge themselves in their areas of strength and support them with resources where they need extra help. Ronnie Petrey has a strong background in education as a mathematics teacher. Matt Carey and I are both police officers and will bring our experiences and resources to enhance our current practices. We will collaborate with parents, students, teachers, staff, administration, and our fellow board members to bring the best practices. We will not just show up once a month and vote. We will be dedicated to work with all partners week in and week out to grow our areas of strength and improve on the areas where needed. Please consider the three of us on April 4th, 2023!! With some great help during the day we were able to get our flyers on the doors of our 161 residents in two great neighborhoods. I am so grateful for everyone’s help with too many to list. In the evening after my wife got off work and my son was done with sports, we went out and hung information and chatted with residents with a very specific list. I am very grateful for all the people God has put in our path to help us. Tomorrow through April 4th will be exponentially bigger on our campaign outreach. I’m blown away how we even deserve such help. I will be as resourceful if I am elected to the board. Thank you to all.

Another tragic school shooting yesterday in Nashville, TN. I promise I will enhance the current practices our district does which are already great. I have a school resource officer background and have attended great classes. I also have great contacts in the law enforcement level both locally and at the federal law enforcement level that I will utilize to bring every resource to ensure our children and staff’s safe environment. Please vote for all three of us when you vote. Matt Carey also has a great background as a law enforcement officer / Sergeant, bringing his vast experiences and contacts to the table.

I just found out my wife voted for me but I have to scrub the floors for her. I just want to know if Ronnie Petrey and Matt Carey have to help me for her voting for them too. 😂😂😂. Early voting at Frankfort Library. Thank you to the volunteer at the library facilitating the voting, gave Johnny a step by step demonstration how the voting process works. That was so kind of her and he said he liked it.
