Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, at approximately 1712hrs.

Engine 22, Car 21, & Car 22 dispatched by SEMRECC & MECC to the Town of Franklin for their working structure fire covering their Headquarters Station.

While en route the alarm assignment was upgraded to a 2nd Alarm, which sends E22 to the scene of the incident.

Franklin fire command gave an update of exterior/defensive operations & to evacuate the residence from any interior/offensive operations due to a propane tank off gassing producing heavy smoke & fire conditions to the structure.

The alarm assignment was upgraded again to a 3rd Alarm. Engine 22 crew was tasked with applying water via multiple hose lines to the rear of the residence. When the bulk of the fire was knocked down crews were able to go interior for the overhaul process.

Crews were on scene for 3 hours.

At approximately 0440 hrs on June 4, 1900, Box 32 was struck for the Town House by Firefighter Richard Barton, who was doing fire watch over the ruins of the Union Straw Works. Our brothers endured heavy fire conditions which caused the bell tower to collapse. Beneath the rubble & amidst the chaos, Foxborough lost three of their own. Firefighter George Josselyn, Firefighter Arthur Josselyn, & Firefighter Joseph Watkins, lost their lives in the Line of Duty. Local 2252 & the Town of Foxborough will never forget their sacrifice. Rest in Peace.

Though it has been some years, Local 2252 is proud to announce our annual “Bowl A Strike for Muscular Dystrophy” bowling tournament is back!!!

The tournament will be returning to Howl Splitsville in Patriot Pl!

Location: Howl Splitsville in Patriot Pl
Date: August 30th, 2026
Time: 10am-3pm

All proceeds raised during this event will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The organization is responsible for funding research, advancing care, & advocating for those affected by the disease.

Over the last couple weeks, Local 2252 members have been busy replacing flags & placing new Foxborough Fire grave markers at the graves of our fallen brothers.

The grave markers were purchased with the excess money raised from our Town House Memorial fundraising efforts.

We are currently locating more graves in town & in our surrounding communities. If you have any questions or believe your family member served and would like a marker placed, please reach out to L2252 President Lieutenant Belham. As always we appreciate your support!

Our thoughts and prayers are with our Brothers and Sisters of the Boston Fire Department, the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts and the Kilduff family, as they mourn the loss of one of their own. Bob Kilduff was a stand up guy who would give anyone the shirt off his back. His dedication to the job and the well being of thousands of Union firefighters across Commonwealth was admirable. Our hearts are heavy, Rest Easy BK. You will be missed
