Meet Indian Hill's Principal for the Day, Ms. Sophie! As part of her Dragon Dash auction win, Sophie helped with parent drop-off duty, covered the front desk with her 'coffee' and walkie talkie, did classroom walkthroughs to provide feedback to teachers, and had a special lunch with Mrs. Ward and Saffire!

Ms. Sophie also got to unveil our BRAND NEW playground equipment - the wobble bridge!

This evening, the Maple Dale cross country team competed at the North Shore Conference meet at Lincoln Park. Through the beautiful weather, the runners did great. Top twelve and all conference members include:

The 5th grade attended Morning Star Production’s History of the Wild West at the Old Falls Village. They helped capture the outlaw Jesse James with the help of a circuit preacher, some Black cowboys, and a Native American tracker- people who are often forgotten in the story of Westward Expansion. A lot of fun was had during this interactive performance.

Students at Indian Hill are having ALL THE FUN this week! From shooting baskets during a math review 🏀, to enjoying a special pizza lunch with Mrs. Ward for our September assembly winners🍕, and even a surprise dance party at recess to celebrate a perfect attendance day - our students are absolutely rocking it! Keep up the great work, Dragons! 🎉

Happy October from Indian Hill! Today, students learned about this month’s theme, Flexibility, and celebrated all of last month's responsible behaviors. Saffire and Mrs. Ward were on the hunt for good behaviors in the final hours before the assembly 🌟

Huge congratulations to Ms. Soyke's class for taking home our new award, The Golden Shoe! 👟 Watching her Cinderella moment was definitely the highlight of the assembly! 🎉

September was all about responsibility at Indian Hill! 📚✨

After a month of learning and practicing great choices, including a special classroom storytime with Mrs. Ward, we’re ready to celebrate! We'll recognize our responsible students at this Friday's school assembly.

We’re also adding a NEW assembly award this year, the Golden Shoe 👟 , for best hallway behavior. We can't wait to see who takes home the big win on Friday!

Last week, Maple Dale students participated in a variety of events. Fourth graders attended the Native American Heritage Celebration through the Marcus Performing Arts Center featuring an amazing performance by Ty Defoe. Fourth, fifth, and sixth graders enjoyed a visit by author Hope Larson, who shared her journey around becoming both an author and illustrator, teaching students about the power of perseverance and following your dreams. Finally, ten of our eighth grade boys choir members were invited to attend the Sing Out Bass Tenor Baritone Festival at UW-Milwaukee!
