So, no quippy sayings today or sillyness....... America was attacked 13 years ago today. This was not a strategic target of the military complex (though the pentagon was attacked) it was an attack on the PEOPLE of the UNITED STATES!! Not by another nation or country, but by a GROUP of idealist hell bent on taking out the united states as a world power, world figure and a country comprised of free men and women that excersize personal liberties and rights. THEY DID NOT SUCCEED!!!! Terrorists try to inflict TERROR in the populus to create CHAOS within the fabric of what makes a NATION GREAT! This NATION, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA took a few weeks to recover, and as A NATION WE ANSWERED THIER ATTEMPT WITH A RESOUNDING PUNCH. WE took the FIGHT TO THEM, ON THIER TURF, IN THIER BACKYARD to prevent them from trying to KEEP IT IN OUR YARD! Many Lives have been lost, Many Scar's yet to Heal; However, THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA STOOD AS ONE, AND TOOK THE FIGHT TO THEM!!!!! We tend to forget this and worry more about trying to get things back to normal.... Well NORMAL ISN'T NORMAL ANYMORE!!!! VIGILANCE AND TENACITY MUST PREVAIL to Keep those that wish us harm OUT OF OUR BACKYARDS!!!! Many answered the call, Many Paid the ULTIMATE PRICE in taking the fight to them. It is ON THIS DAY THAT WE TAKE A MOMENT TO HONOR AND RESPECT THE INNOCENT THAT DIED, THE PUBLIC SERVENTS THAT SACRIFICED AND THE SOLDIERS THAT STILL COMBAT IT!!!!!!! Like many, I REMEMBER EXACTLY WHAT I WAS DOING AND WHERE I WAS ON THIS DAY, 13 YEARS AGO!!! I REMEMBER WHAT I FELT AND WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE TO PROTECT OUR FAMILY's FROM THIS HAPPENING AGAIN....... Take a moment and REFLECT ON THAT....... and DON'T FORGET WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS, WHERE THEY ARE NOW AND HOW WE CAN CONTINUE TO PREVENT IT FROM CONTINUEING!!!!!
