🌊 Exciting News from the FLPO! 🌊

We are thrilled to announce that the two new piers at Clausen Park in the City of Fox Lake are officially installed and ready for use!

This project has been in the works for several years, and it's finally complete—all thanks to our amazing FLPO members. Your support, donations, and belief in our mission made this major initiative possible. 🙌

Our vision for these docks was to build a stronger bridge—literally and figuratively—between the Town of Fox Lake (our lake home community) and the City of Fox Lake. With the new piers in place, lake residents can now easily boat into the City to enjoy its vibrant offerings: local restaurants, bars, shopping, and the newly renovated Clausen Park.

Key highlights:

🚤 Two brand-new 42' piers installed at Clausen Park
⚓ Space for four to eight boats to dock at a time
🏙️ Piers are located for easy access to downtown attractions
☀️ They’ll remain in year-round and be maintained by the City of Fox Lake

This project was a true partnership:

🤝 Thank you to the City of Fox Lake for working hand-in-hand with us on the grant and now maintaining the piers moving forward.
💰 Half of the project was funded through a successful grant, with the other half paid for by FLPO—thanks to generous donations and support from FLPO members.
🔧 A huge thank-you to Fox Future Storage and Kevin Vande Zande for their expert work installing the piers and bringing our vision to life.

💬 Whether you're stopping in for a pizza, a beer, or a stroll through town we hope you’ll make the most of this new connection between the lake and the city.

This is one of the largest projects FLPO has taken on in recent years and we’re proud to share this success with every one of you who made it happen.

Crocker Street Park renewal

The Crocker Street Park Renewal Team is a group of citizens from the Fox Lake area who are looking to improve the park and encourage children to play outdoors. We are partnering with the City of Fox Lake to revitalize the park and create an aesthetically pleasing place for people to bring their children to play and make memories.

We aim to revitalize and renew the Crocker Street Park to provide and a safe and centrally located place for children to play; the park can be accessed by a sidewalk from most locations in the city. In addition to a new playground, we would also like to add new benches, a new sign, trees, and plants to create a place for families to come and spend some quality time outdoors and create lasting memories. The playground has the possibility of being installed by a community volunteer building team; it is delivered and supervised by the playground company. While play equipment is the most important part of the park, the addition of benches and a new sign will make it more appealing. Also, the addition of trees will provide shade for the park and plants will brighten up the park’s appearance.

Our goal is to raise $35,000 to renew the park into an appealing play space for families to make memories together. Would you consider donating to help us achieve our mission of encouraging the importance of safe, outdoor play for children?
