🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Memorial Day is more than the unofficial start of summer—it is a day to reflect on the courage, service, and selflessness of those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy today.

As you spend time with family and friends, attend ceremonies, or enjoy the day with loved ones, please take a moment to remember our fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy.

From all of us at the Fowlerville Police Department, we thank and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

❤️🤍💙 We remember. We honor. We will never forget. ❤️🤍💙

🚔💙 It’s National Police Week, and we’re feeling the support from our amazing community!

A huge THANK YOU to Livingston County United Way and Hungry Howie’s for teaming up and supporting our department during National Police Week. 🍕👏

We truly appreciate the kindness, generosity, and partnership from organizations that continue to support law enforcement and our community. Gestures like this mean more than you know — especially to officers working long hours serving the residents of Fowlerville every day.

And let’s be honest… pizza is always a good way to boost morale. 😄🍕

Thank you again for thinking of us and helping make National Police Week special!

🚜🌾 It’s almost that time again… Fowlerville High School Tractor Day is rolling into town on Friday, May 15th! 🌾🚜

One of our favorite Fowlerville traditions is back, and we know the community loves seeing the tractors lined up bright and early. We just ask everyone to keep safety in mind while students are arriving and parking.

A few important reminders for participants and spectators:

🚜 All tractors and vehicles must be parked in the student lot by 6:50 a.m.
🚫 No vehicles will be allowed into the lot after 6:50 a.m.
🛻 Large tractors should park in the last row closest to the road
🚜 Side-by-sides and golf carts must be trailered in
🏍 Dirt bikes, mini bikes, and motorcycles are NOT permitted
⏰ Once parked, vehicles must remain parked until the event ends at 7:45 a.m.

Please slow down near the school, watch for students and spectators, and give those tractors a little extra room on the road… they don’t exactly stop on a dime. 😉

We hope everyone has a safe and fun Tractor Day celebrating another great Fowlerville tradition!

⚡️ Shocking Day at FPD… in the best way possible! ⚡️

Yesterday, our officers got hands-on with our new Axon tasers during training—and let’s just say, everyone is feeling fully charged with knowledge.

A huge THANK YOU to Officer Siemen from the Brighton Police Department for coming out and putting us through the training. He did a fantastic job making sure our team is confident, safe, and ready to use this equipment properly when needed. We appreciate you sharing your time and expertise with us!

We’re always working to stay up-to-date with training and tools to better serve and protect our community. 💙

🎉🚧 Retirement Alert! 🚧🎉

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of celebrating Cathy from our DPW on her well-deserved retirement after 19 years of dedicated service to the Village of Fowlerville! 👏

For nearly two decades, Cathy has helped keep our community running smoothly—through all seasons (yes, even those lovely Michigan winters ❄️). From early mornings to long days, her hard work has not gone unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has done for our village.

Now it’s time to trade in the work boots for some well-earned relaxation… although we have a feeling she won’t sit still for long 😉

Cathy, thank you for your years of service, commitment, and the positive impact you’ve made in our community. We wish you nothing but the best in this next chapter—enjoy every minute of it!

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨UPDATE-LOCKDOWN CANCELED!!!!🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨

🚨 Fowlerville Police Department – Community Update 🚨

Fowlerville Community Schools are currently in a soft lockdown as a precaution due to an incident that occurred south of town.

At this time, there is no direct threat to the schools, students, or staff. This measure is being taken out of an abundance of caution to ensure everyone’s safety while we address the situation nearby.

A soft lockdown means that school activities continue as normal inside the building, but movement in and out of the school is limited and closely monitored.

We understand situations like this can be concerning for parents and families, but please know we are actively working the incident and will provide updates as appropriate.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe.

🚨FOWLERVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE 🚨

On April 27, 2026, at approximately 10:40 a.m., the Fowlerville Police Department was contacted by Child Protective Services (CPS) requesting assistance at University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor regarding a 2-month-old infant who had been admitted with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.

Officers responded to the hospital and began working in coordination with CPS caseworkers and medical staff to initiate an investigation. Based on preliminary findings, there are indications consistent with child abuse and neglect. Medical personnel have also identified evidence of prior injuries that appear to be in various stages of healing.

At this time, the parents involved are minors. Due to their age and the sensitive nature of this case, additional identifying information will not be released.

The Fowlerville Police Department has also received assistance from the Livingston County Sheriff's Office, including their Detective Bureau and Crime Scene Investigation Unit, who have been instrumental in supporting this investigation.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. The Fowlerville Police Department is continuing to conduct interviews and are awaiting additional medical records and expert evaluations before making any determinations regarding potential charges. At this time, no arrests have been made.

Given the severity of the incident and the age of those involved, the Fowlerville Police Department is working closely with CPS, medical professionals, and partnering agencies to ensure a thorough and
complete investigation.

We ask for the public's understanding and patience as this process continues.

No further information will be released at this time.
